One thing I want to point out, when Tim is singing the vocals, it's Adam Chance that's holding down the bass line. It's easy to spot how seamlessly Austin (high tenor) and Rob (lead tenor) trade off, but really pay attention to how the bass trade off. It's a masterpiece. And I don't think Chance gets nearly enough credit for how well he blends and helps hold the rhythm. Great work, guys! Please do more!

Austin has been vocally trained to get rid of his southern accent. Check out Austin singing Unchained Melody as he has a YT channel. When he joined Home Free they told him in need to sing with his southern accent. Austin Brown, who was born and raised in Tifton, Georgia, is no stranger when it comes to music. He has been traveling with his father all over the Southeast with his father’s gospel quartet. The son of a Southern gospel singer, Brown’s earliest memories growing up in Tifton, Georgia, involve the stage and, coincidentally, quartet-style harmony. After playing lead in several of his high school productions, Brown went on to pursue a degree in music theater. His first post-college gig was singing on cruise ships, which sent him around the world - but more importantly, led him to Home Free. “I saw their show, they saw my show, we got drunk together, and the rest, as they say, is history,” Brown recalls with a laugh. It's a shame when people can't or won't understand the difference between making something out of thin air, and polishing an already great performance - it's obvious when you see amateur phone videos of these guys singing live how good they actually are, but that's no reason not to put in the extra to make a truly professional performance. Somebody told you about Darren Rust, who does a lot of the arranging, as well as producing for Home Free - they often semi-jokingly refer to him as their sixth member. He's a good singer in his own right - the bass for Mid-western vocal group The Blenders, so he knows a lot about how to get the best out of their combined talents.

And you mentioned their first rendition of "Ring of Fire" that was live and the second one with Avi that was recorded, etc. I always tell people to go back and watch the first one they did on 'The Sing-Off" because it was LIVE and you can get a better idea of Tim's vocal range. Not to mention the last note he hit got a standing ovation from the judges as well as the crowd. Adams beatboxing in that one was really a standout as well. I like both versions but actually prefer the first. So, just a suggestion but I think youd be glad you did. Again, loved your reaction. So glad you're continuing to react to Home Free!

I love you guys! Finally, somebody who can actually appreciate everything Tim is doing. Everybody is crazy about his awesome low voice, but there's so much more going on and he's so humble about it! He always says, "Yeah I'm just imitating a bass", like it's nothing! To me, that's what sets him apart from all the other groups. He's got style! 😉 Plus, Chance (baritone/bass) is often doing the same as he and Tim swap parts, seamlessly, all the time throughout a song, like Rob and Austin do. I have such high appreciation for these lovable guys! For Austin's best, check out "When A Man Loves A Woman", for Tim, check out, "Hillbilly Bone (fun!), or "In The Blood". For Chance, "I Can't Outrun You". Thx for the fun reaction guys!

I like the pauses. They're full of knowledge and interesting things. Thank you.

It blows my mind that in an a capella song you can have a moment where all the instruments drop out.

By HOG do you mean Tom MacDonald's Hang Over Gang?

@@ritayprice3510 YEP. There is a lot of overlap in fans of Tom and fans of Home Free. Nobody knows exactly why, other than both are awesome.

Hey I'm a Home Fry abs just subscribed and yes I did see your first video og Home Free. I'm not sorry either for pausing lol. Can't wait for the next home free. If you can, you need to check out the LIVE version of 9 to 5. Everyone does beatboxing in the live version. It is AWESOME 👌 THANKS

LMAO I'm 50, taught myself to read music and play piano at 6 to the song Alley Cat (Gpa showed me the first 3 notes, figured it from there), played slide and valve trombone from grade 5 to past college years, learned flute, clarinet and sax, sang choir... taught myself guitar at age 17 to the song Call of Ktulu on acoustic (that's right, I don't do anything easy) and won a full scholarship for music... and I STILL don't know all the terminology! My son does, and he struggles to play music lol talent isn't what ya know, it's what you do and recognize :) you guys do beautifully.

Really, really looking forward to seeing you react to their "humorous" videos! They also have quite a few quarantine videos! ♥️

Loved your reaction and I actually like that you are able to explain what they do. More Home Free, please: Woman, amen /Female, Hillbilly Bone, Butts remix, well, anything 😊
