this was shot in the Austrian Alps. Home Free was there to perform at a festival. They fell in love with the scenery and flew in their video team to do this. :) thank you for your reaction. Yes, when Tim sings Chance takes over the bass line and Adam Rupp is normally their beatboxer but sings tenor here. He rarely sings a solo part--his choice. He doesn't feel comfortable singing. Austin sings the highest.

Just a clarification on the “It Is Well” backstory - The slave story was actually the writer of “Amazing Grace.” The writer of “It Is Well” wrote his song after a shipwreck his wife and children were on, and the wife alone survived - all his children died. And that was after having already lost another son and his house to a fire.

They were in Austria for a festival and decided that it was so beautiful that they needed to film here. They actually got ahold of their film crew and had them come over. They have a From the Vault video about this song. Chance beard mustache is actually a bass but he sings baritone for the group unless Tim has a lead. Austin is actually the sky high tenor. Overalls (Rob) is the lead tenor lower (2 tenor). Adam Rupp has a voice range like Rob, but he doesn't sing solo very often. This is an absolutely beautiful song. Austin is the high tenor, Rob (overalls) is the lead tenor, Tim is the deep bass, but can go up to tenor, Chance is the baritone, and does bass when Tim is singing the vocals, and Adam Rupp is the freak-of-nature beatboxer. Of course, you've already seen they don't always stick to those 'roles' and it's impressive to see Rob and Austin trade off and blend on the tenor parts, but Chance seamlessly takes over the backing bass when Tim takes over the vocals and it amazes me every single time. The teaser at the end is a cover of "My Church" by Maren Morris, and YES watch that one too. You guys are **almost** ready to watch "Mayday." Knowing their normal roles, it will BLOW YOUR MIND. "How great Thou art" - originally from a Swedish hymn by Carl Boberg set to the tune we know which is based on a Swedish traditional melody. The words were translated into German and Russian. It was translated into English from the Russian version by a missionary from England, Stuart K. Hine, his version we know so well dates from as recently as 1949... "It is well" - two stories mixed were up. The author Horatio Spafford was a businessman from Chicago who lost a lot in the great fire of 1871. He supported D L Moody and sent his family ahead by ship across the Atlantic to help with a mission in the UK, intending to follow later. The ship sunk after a collision at sea and all four daughters died but his wife survived, sending a telegram "Saved alone". (The slave trader turned hymn writer was John Newton of "Amazing grace" fame from an earlier generation in the UK). This recording by Home Free is one of my favourites. Thanks for taking the time to listen and share your reactions.

They have behind the scenes videos making some of their songs and they all look serious but live one of them will be singing WAY off key to try to get the others to laugh. I have a feeling their video shoots are a lot of fun. Even their no music videos are entertaining like one where Tim, who is from Texas, visits Adam Rupps family in Minnesota and he is freezing the whole time. You should check those out personally if not on the channel.

Tim Foust traveled to Minnesota during the Arctic blast. Southerner in the Snow. Very funny video.

Loved your reaction! This is perfection at its finest....with the most beautiful vocal harmonies ever! When they sing this live....it is breathtaking! You really need to see them live if you get the chance! Yes...do My Church ...next....that was the video at the end! Friday they are releasing a new video...a cover of One Man Band by Old Dominion...I've seen it...its awesome as always!

That was such a treat. Adam never sings anything solo, so those six pretty notes were cool for us to hear.

IT WAS FILMED IN THE AUSTRIAN ALPS. MAKE SURE YOU SEE THE CHURCH AT THE END. THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL RENDITION OF THIS SONG THAT I HAVE EVER HEARD. AT THIS TIME, CHANCE ONLY SANG BARITONE AND HAD NOT ACCOMPLISHED THE BASS OCTAVE UNTIL TIM TAUGHT HIM HOW! YOU REALLY NEED TO KNOW, CHANCE CAN NOT GO AS LOW AS TIM"THE DRAGON". PRAISE GOD FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL SCENERY. YOU HAVE THIS SONG AND AMAZING GRACE CONF- USED.
