I also got Writing and Rhetoric for 3rd grade. It did not work. That is until this past year, 5 th grade. I honestly feel like it works better starting it a bit later. It really clicked for my daughter at that age. We are up to book three now, and will continue it here and there.

@@ashleybarney88 It's funny you say that because I was reading thru it again today and I'm thinking it's exactly what we need at this point. We are starting it back tomorrow!

Question for you, looks like we stopped at lesson 4 last time. Should I just restart with W&R or pick up at lesson 5. Since you were in a similar boat curious what you did?

We live about an hour from Mammoth Caves! It's a really neat place, if you ever visit Kentucky you should do a cave tour! We are a few weeks into our homeschool year and are making curriculum changes. Chronos to Curiosity Chronicles for history, and Phonetic Zoo to Spectrum Spelling workbooks for my 4th grader(Phonetic Zoo is going great for my 8th grader) Math Mammoth isn't a good fit for my 8th grader, so we're going to approach it differently and add in Learn Math Fast as needed.
