I'm so glad the algorithm helped me find your channel--your sweaters are gorgeous, and I just love your vibe. Also hearing about your low-buy is inspiring because I'm attempting a no-buy for a couple years (no room!) and then going for a low-buy after that and it's been helpful to hear about others' experiences. I'm excited to sit and knit along with future videos!

When I’m using a variegated and want to tone it down I like to choose colors that have one of the primaries in common (purple and green share blue, orange and green share yellow etc.) then add a fluff
@whatsmilimaking7 ай бұрын
That’s a great idea! I think I end up doing the same, except I tend to go for the variegated fluffy yarns and pair it with the coordinating wool 🧶

Projects are looking nice. The intarsia in the round for the Ingrid will be a bit of a pain. You'll have lots of ends to weave in as you'll need to start a new thread until the point where you change and then cut that yarn.. So every row you'll have 2 ends to weave in. Doable, but a lot of effort.
@whatsmilimaking7 ай бұрын
That’s a really good point I hadn’t even considered! I think if I end up going the intarsia route, I’ll knit it flat and then seam up the side 🤔 intarsia will be hard enough without creating extra hurdles for myself lol
@jimmydoesknitting7 ай бұрын
@@whatsmilimaking knitting that part flat is deff the way to go if you're dong intarsia. The reason why it worked well on the inspiration picture is because that garment was knit flat from sleeve to sleeve. Either way, looking forward to seeing what you decide on. It will be a fun creative exercise.

Sometimes im tempted to wear my colorwork inside out because the clean floats takes more skill than the pattern

That is honestly the ultimate flex, and I think you should do it 👏🏽
