You are SO CLOSE with the wave sweater. Then when fall approaches you will have it all blocked and ready to go. You can do this.

Thank you for the encouragement!! Here's hoping I can power through it 🤞

Don’t give up on the wave sweater! I think as you said it will be a great piece for the fall weather and you will thank your past self! As I was watching I was actually working on the bind off on my Stripe Hype Sweater that I have turned it into my own scrappy version!☺️🙌🏼
@whatsmilimaking7 ай бұрын
I have been loving seeing your scrappy version come together! It's honestly the perfect project to make scrappy, and now I am tempted to perhaps knit one too 😆

I was knitting on the wave sweater while watching this and was losing motivation as you were talking about it LOL. Forcing myself to finish though!

My black WIP is perpetual because its hard to get lighting correct to work on it. The stripe sweater was cute tho! Fully agree the yellow wouldn't have 'worked' with those, but the frog was worth it. too much frogging will always tarnish the feeling of the end result. my biggest motivator was a quote i overheard at a yarn festival "we claim we like knitting, so reknit it"
@whatsmilimaking7 ай бұрын
I'm currently on that same struggle with the body ribbing of my sweater no 23 so I feel you 🥲 That's so true! I think the constant frogging and re-knitting slowly sucked the joy of the finished object. But hopefully when I re-knit it (again lol) it will be worth it!

I love your soft pink vibe !!! It's so pretty and it looks really good on you🌷so glad I found your channel!! Also very impressed you're able to recall the most random of hand-dyed yarn bases and names lol.

My mind is apparently excellent at remembering useless, random information 😂 In all honesty, I do spend a few days beforehand writing notes for the podcast, and I think that helps me remember most of the yarn details!

I see that you use the Nutiden yarn a lot, I assume you like it?? I am so curious to try it but the unspun nature makes me really worried that it will felt? What are your thoughts?
@whatsmilimaking7 ай бұрын
I personally haven't had any issues with it felting, and I do wear the knits I've made with it quite often. However, nothing I made is close fitting, and everything I've made (not counting WIPs) has been held with a strand of something else. Ik nutiden can be an investment for those of us outside Sweden, so to dip your toe into the pool of unspun you could try a small project with manchelopis by wooldreamers or plutolopi by istex? Imo nutiden is softer than plutolopi but it would give you an idea of the knitting experience!
