thank you so much for posting your videos. I'm a green horn when it comes to machining and a self taught welder. I own an excavating company ( a small business with a partner and 1 full time employee and a part time one when we need a extra help) I couldn't afford to hire a welder so I had to learn and I'm pretty good these days. I haven't had any welds brake. I recently bought a logan lathe and vertical mill and I'm grateful for all the knowledge you share. I've learned a lot of from you especially when I comes to setting up and getting my measurements set to zero to begin. I would be in heaven with a shop like yours. thank you again and look forward to seeing your new video's. happy new year from Colorado and hope your year is great.

Nice work as usual, regarding the Craven and the 72 RPM, either replace a drive pulley with a larger one or my preferred option install a variable frequency drive, few of my machines main or feed motors run direct off the mains anymore the ability to dial any speed within reason is handy even if it is just a speed change to stop some chatter that is starting. As in life there is no free lunch, the motor torque is similar to before so the horsepower is unchanged.

Maestro Wills, if a rank amateur might toss an idea to try, the massive vibrations causing the screaming of the tools, if that is a problem, might be diminished by a trick from metal forging: simply slap a neodymium magnet onto the trepanning tool! This trick virtually eliminates the ringing of the anvil and maybe would cut down the noise! Just an idea if it’s of any use.
