So if you think about it, the federal reserve is operated by a group of banks, then every country has the same type of fiat system in place so... most banks of the world are controlling the governments... banks are controlling the world... is it the same group of banks? What the heck? Follow the money!

I am from Europe, started my working life in 2007, just before the bubble burst. Back then, I followed Ron Paul and was so hopeful that US (Wall street and FED mostly, not regular people) would correct the damage done in 2008. to the whole world economy with him as POTUS. I suffered enormously myself bcs of what happened in US with my mortgage monthly rate rising 100%, even exceeding my salary, and I couldn't cover even half of my debt to the bank by selling my flat bcs of falling real estate prices. Today, 15 years later, when I listen to him and remember what could have been, I start to cry. No joke. Why is it that good people never get into power? :( He was right then and he is right now. And we all see it unfold in 2022.

Great video. Interestingly, there was an article in The Globe and Mail (A Canadian Newspaper) about the disohnesty of inflation and why governments love it. To me, this is a sign that more and more people are becoming interested in monetary policy, and are starting to understand why inflationary policy is not a good thing.

Easy to make profit when you get to create money out of thin air. The dollar has only lost 97.5% of its value since 1913, therefore, hyperinflation can not occur. None as severe or as lasting as the crises since the Fed creation. Dollar up 11% under gold. Food and gas are more scarce than they were in 1913, driving up prices. Said no one, ever. I started a cooking fire with 5000 gallons of gas. Great success. Price stability to Fed-lovers: they keep going up forever.

I would like to recommend the book by G. Edward Griffin, The Creature from Jekyll Island for a more in-depth history. Also if you can get hold of a copy of the Report from Iron Mountain you will understand more of the motivations....for one to control the world. Understand the true purpose of the UN. Unfortunately the battle in going to be on the streets with homeless people, unemployed, hungry, cold, sick people who have lost everything...not completely on college students who are going to be surfs to pay for their education for decades. 10 years later and the plan still continues.

Ending the Fed is going to slow down the fall of the debt money system that the world has, but its not the solution to all the monetary problems. Central banks need to be government institutions like in other countries, but the problem is fiat debt money. I ordered the book in Croatia. If you did not get it yet, I think I will wait for a few weeks...

I never said, "ignore". These are problems that should be addressed. But I assure you politicians will never take much beneficial action because most of said action would be do decrease MS and raise taxes. What politician would knowingly run on a platform to raise his/her constituents' taxes? The very nature of corrective monetary policy is rather negative. unfortunately, I do not have an idea for a solution to these the issues, but Paul's plan will ruin us within two year of its adoption.

@se7ensnakes And how would they do that? Big banks do not have printing presses. They cannot expand and contract money supplies, they can only lend out whatever reserves they have. And under a free market/competing currency system, if a big bank expands its money supply, then everyone could jump ship to another currency and that currency would die, which would force even the most corrupt banks to keep their supply in check. Competition would keep banks from getting out of hand.
@ZerogunRivale
@ZerogunRivale 13 жыл бұрын
@weetoy69 First, if they find nothing is left in our reserves, it would not cause a collapse. The dollar is not backed by gold to begin with, so why would it make a difference? The audit is to see the Fed's actions because they don't have to reveal them publically. Second, Paul's plan is free market money/competing currencies. Mints, banks, and companies could create currencies which would compete in the market to our advantage. I suggest you read Austrian economics before you comment.

@jazzbo66zz yeah basically. If you bothered to inform yourself about RP you would know that he is against fractional reserve banking and for sound money because he knows that these are the things that cause the most suffering for poor people not a lack of paltry welfare handouts. Fractional reserve banking massively inflates the money supply and when people realise it is inflated you get a crash resulting in 20million job losses, retirement funds etc. Research before you denounce.

"Political ideologies distort and corrupt language for nefarious purposes" - And you don't? "It is entertaining to imagine anyone naive enough to believe that American politics has anything to do with debate" - Who are you talking about? "Capitalism faces a crisis of legitimacy" - Completely meaningless nonsense "Posing as a patriot" - When did I do that? "you are no longer in the position to dictate the terms" - What terms did I dictate? "If you had just a smidgen of insight" - And you do?
@Korodarn
@Korodarn 14 жыл бұрын
@jazzbo66zz I was not cranky. I'm not sure from where you got that idea. "Free" is ambiguous in English, it has nothing to do with anarchism or libertarianism. And it's funny that you would claim that we "smuggle" anything based on ambiguous terms when "libertarian" is based on "liberty" rather than "free" probably in large part to avoid such ambiguity. Your attempts to smear others based on ambiguity you used is beyond odd.
@Korodarn
@Korodarn 14 жыл бұрын
@jazzbo66zz "Government" is likewise a word referring to a concept, but the concept it is referring to is that of a body of individuals responsible for governing others, which entails imposing their will on others, and taxing others (stealing from them if it's against their will). The concept is at the core about forcing people to do what they would otherwise not do on their own.
@Korodarn
@Korodarn 14 жыл бұрын
@jazzbo66zz I'm not seeking to persuade you of anything. Your use of ad hominem attacks rather than actual argumentation is something I simply sought to point out. Your statement that "anarchists have been fielding political candidates" dodges my point that I never blamed you or voters and that I have no "political party" as that term is commonly used. As for capitalism, it simply means "private ownership of production." Capitalism doesn't do anything, it's a term to convey a concept.
@Korodarn
@Korodarn 14 жыл бұрын
@jazzbo66zz - You might want to actually read about anarchist thought before you start writing about it and assuming motivations. Anarchists believe in law, just not government. We believe in order, just not imposed order via coercion. Bush is not liked by any kind of anarchist, whether they be anarcho-socialists or anarcho capitalists. Those of us who believe in the free market believe Bush is a great example of a mercantilist, and his policies fundamentally Keynesian.
@Korodarn
@Korodarn 14 жыл бұрын
@jazzbo66zz The argument has substance insofar as I'm actually taking a position and providing detail for it. You didn't even attempt to refute the basic argument. You decided instead to label it "social darwinism." That's yet another ad hominem. You provide neither logic nor empirical data. And you'll have to quote me on the charge that I blamed you or voters for my "political party's problems" (I'm an anarchist ftr). My only problem with democracy is when it's taken to mean force is ok.
@Korodarn
@Korodarn 14 жыл бұрын
Or if you want something from me to contest: More humans are motivated by self-gain than by altruism. This is not a problem because as long as they don't hurt anyone else and make trades voluntarily both they and the other side benefit by dividing the work into what each can do most efficiently. The governments intervention in trade can only hurt trade overall because no matter what it does it can only limit the choices available to individuals. People decide best for themselves.
@Korodarn
@Korodarn 14 жыл бұрын
@jazzbo66zz Are you really serious about anything you are saying? It's just difficult for me to believe that anyone would have no other ability than attempting to smear other people or belittle them. Now I'm not saying that there is absolute 0 truth in those smears you've tossed around, but not one iota of what you've written from the beginning has anything at all to do with the argument of free market economics or ending the Fed. It's all insults in a fog of words without substance.

Because Capitalism is the only thing that will exist among us for the rest of our lives. Market transactions will always exist, whether openly or underground. (black market). I still fail to understand why people want the state to make every single decision, maybe they can't make they're own decisions, maybe they want a perfect society in they're view. Whether a Neocon utopia where the whole world is like America, or a Liberal utopia where America is like the rest of the whole world.

@jazzbo66zz Bankers would vote for a rabid wolverine before they would ever see a Libertarian in office. Libertarianism requires sound money which bankers hate. Bankers love central governments accumulating tax revenue so they can siphon that money to make themselves richer. Look up JP Morgan on Wikipedia. They also love to be in control of the currency through central banks which Libertarians would never tolerate. Learn yourself some knowledge boy.

@jazzbo66zz Fascism is a branch of Socialistic ideal's established by Hegel. Geez, you really need to learn more here. Free Market Capitalism has as much to do with Fascism, as Communism has to do with Free Speech. You are equating Corporate Market's with Free Market Capitalism. They are not the same thing. One is a artificial construct of Government(Corporate Market's), the other is individual's doing open commerce( Free market Capitalism).
@Joe11Blue

@jazzbo66zz I highly suggest you read up on the changes made to Corporate Charter law's, and how the Federal Government changed from allowing states to limit Charter's, to banning states from limiting said charter's. Not once did i bring up slavery, so I see no point in continuing that line of discussion. In fact it seem's quite odd you would bring it up when discussing Corporate law. As for everyone not being able to vote, that's a social issue, not Corporate law.

Getting rid of the fed, as much as I hate them, is impossible without hard money AND a partial repudiation of debt in the world. Can you imagine CONGRESS in charge of the printing press? People /states/companies etc borrow money taking inflation into consideration, now that they have borrowed all this money, imagine having to pay back real money when you borrowed fiat money. That will be the ultimate confiscation of wealth.

I don't understand this drive to end the Fed. You end the Fed and you kill the lender of last resort for the banking system, which means you must resort to full-reserve banking, which doesn't work. It also ties us to the global price of gold, which flucatuates up and down. It is easy to knock the Fed, but the Fed is a price-fixer, and thus can occassionally set the prices wrong. It is Monday-morning quarterbacking by these people who probably couldn't run a 7/11 to knock on them.

I like Ron Paul, but he is still short of the real reason about our misery. End the Fed is not enough. Come back to the morality of our ancestors: Do not get into debts! If you wish a new dress - save the money for it. If you wish to buy a house, save the money for it or live in a hut. This is the honest way of life. And forbid to take interests or interest on interests which kills the economy. Life would be more frugal but more honest as well. Warren Buffet still lives in his hut.

"your canard will not work!" Canards work very well, on airplanes. If you're going to tweak and fiddle and assume, you can do anything. It is your model after all. You assume that 100% of the currency is in use, the payer cannot sell more of his production to generate the needed currency to pay the interest, cannot pay with anything other than currency. So: What does the loan contract say? Do you assume they didn't know this at the start and cannot adapt? Broken model.

Agree, giving congress such oversight over the Fed would allow Politicians to promote short-term positive looking monetary action (reducing taxes). these actions however have disastrous consequences for long term economic stability. I agree that The Fed at times has too much power, but a complete audit of this system is not the way to go about solving the problem.

@jazzbo66zz - I had assumed you to be a native English speaker but perhaps this isn't the case? This may explain your problem with that. There are 2 meanings in English to the word free. There is "free" as in liberty and there is "free" as in having no price. They are vastly different and totally unrelated concepts.

What I mean by that is I have no problems with the process of voting, as long as all parties agree they will abide by the vote before the process begins, and there is no use or threat of violence. What is wrong for me to do is no less wrong for those I vote to do it. If I can't steal your money what right have I to vote for someone to take it from you against your will?

@jazzbo66zz What you are talking about is not Capitalism, when are you going to understand this? Free Market Capitalism has no control. There you go with your racist drama over your diluted view of history. Free Market Capitalism is a product of the 18th century BTW. Your grasp on history is tenuous at best.

@jazzbo66zz Ron Paul promotes Free market Capitalism. He support's allowing people to prosper in life, and to live their life how they chose. How could anyone not want that? Unless you are an ardent Communist, and want to tell everyone what to do all of the time, or simply can not function without being told what to do.

Man Hr. Dollar = Efficiency X (GNP/(Man hrs.)) where Efficiency is proportional to 1/( the cost of clean up ) This way you pay back a lone of Man Hrs. If your country becomes more efficient then your say USA (Man Hrs.) is more valuble than a less efficient or less productive country per man hr. labor.

BourneAccident: and yet, and yet, there IS a single force, one singular astonishing energy, that creates and upholds all of existence, all the 100 trillion cells of your body, all the galaxies in the night sky, all the multitude of blossoms, all of your mind. You are not an accident. There is nothing hid that shall not be revealed, even the wickedness of the lovers of money.

skeptic"121" i highly suggest you read more and watch less. studies have shown that reading makes people less ignorant. If you were able to comprehend the written language at a sufficient level you would realize I was being sarcastic. I am a Libertarian and I suggest you keep your condescending comments to yourself if you wish for the movement to grow.

How about instead of having large private banks like Goldman Sachs and the Federal reserve responsible for our nation's finance, why not have a democratically elected fourth branch of government, a Financial branch, created by, for, and answerable to the tax payer?
