People should go into politics, by joining political parties, that's is the best way for change. It might take time but the surest way to make changes in our dear country.
@helenahmed9189Ай бұрын
People who should go to politics to change things, what assurance do we have they are any better? The mentality and culture of love for material wealth not a servant leadership, make Nigeria as an entity a hopeless situation. What can bring a change is becoming smaller republics that is manageable and accountable to the smaller ethnic community.
@PaulUwujarenАй бұрын
Any individual with vision regarding the country will always deliver the vision to the people he or she represents. Our politicians of today does not have vision for the country, some of them got there accidentally, so what will expect from them is abuse of opportunity. So when visionary take power there will definitely deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.

While the protest may not directly lower food prices, it can prompt a shift in strategy and urgency towards addressing the issue
@samuelo2002Ай бұрын
Plenty of nonsense coming out of one man’s mouth. He gave an example of Oshiomhole, that was kicked out by the grassroots. The question he should be asking himself is, where is Oshiomhole today? Nigeria can never change with these type of mentality. It’s like Tinubu said, “Justice & Democracy is not served á la carté, you grab it and run away with it”. Politicians need to be afraid of the people and not the other way round. Oga go back to your arm chair and be complaining.
@noneyourbizАй бұрын
No, please. Oshiomole is at least effective with his communication when he lies. This one is quite frankly intellectually incontinent.
@isangakpabio7158Ай бұрын
Only deep thinkers will understand what this young man is saying.... The question to ask is that protest since Alli must go has not yielded any result till date....BAT and Buhari won power by strategically coming together...it can happen again through strategy. Obama did it in the US by glavanising the youths to come together and with little donations here and there,they became a valcano that could not be stopped. Strategy! Strategy!Strategy!
@user-zc7cs4rk7sАй бұрын
How can you downplay the significance of protests, Mr. Edgar? They are a crucial form of expression and a catalyst for change.
@DotxeeАй бұрын
I respect his point of view,however ,I think it is the problem with Nigeria. The new politicians cannot learn from the old and corrupt breed of politicians. You cannot put new wine in old wineskin and expect a different result. The new breed of politicians do not need to learn or intern in a political ideology that has held this country bound for years. On this I disagree with him.
@Sorcerer-uh1epАй бұрын
Mr. Edgar's contradictory views in the interview are striking, as he first dismisses the protest as ineffective, only to later empathize with the president's perspective and offer potential solutions to the crisis

This man is speaking from the business side of politics.. we're not talking about how president tinubu made important and wise business decisions for the country. There is a system that makes the government waste our resources, allowing governors and senators acquire funds ment for the people for their personal use and not the ability for our president to make outstanding or intelligent business decisions please.. even if the right people are put in place like Edger, would you be like Peter Obi that said NO to inappropriate allocation of public funds for personal use? Edger please stop trying to change the narrative. We need new laws and new systems, if necessary new people in the government.

No protest without violent. An Hungry man is a Anger man. When U have gov't that ain't doing the rightful thing instead adding pains and suffering more to the people u don't expect them to be happy. He appears mot to realize that protest os an inalienable right, earned by anyone that has the right of citizenship. When he is talking a out the Opposition; which opposition is he talking about? Of is he representing the Yoruba group that accuses Peter obi and the Igbos of master-minding the Protest? Does he not realize the plight of the common people? Does hunger restrict itself to Political affiliations, religion, ethnic group or zone? We all Know that Igbos, basically, stay away from the protest, for separate reasons - let those that helped Jagaban to “grab, snatch s d run” with the undeserved mandate.
