Endcliffe Park parkrun,

Saturday the 2nd March, running the Endcliffe Park parkrun.
216th parkrun and 3rd at Endcliffe.
It has been damp again this week so was expecting it to be a little soft off the path, but was not prepared for quite how muddy it had become in places.
The first half of the lap on pathed paths was okay as it gradually climbs up to the small bridge, where fortunately there wasn't a delay or bottle neck this time, but found instead that the route back down was soft underfoot, until it turned in to quite a mud bath, and the second lap, was even worse !
Unfortunately the trainer selection was not ideal and should have picked up the trail shoes !

An interesting location, but the distance is not easy - there are noticeable inclines. It looked like it was slippery in places and there were quite a few participants - which created some danger, especially along the river. The park with its ancient trees is impressive. The cover also turned out to be quite expressive.) In short, there is something to see! )

Yeah, its definitely an interesting course, especially so when it has been raining. It was indeed very slippery, I'm surprised that I didn't see anyone go over in the mud !

I think I would like to do that Parkrun, it's a long way to travel though!

It is an enjoyable parkrun, does get rather busy, especially on nicer days though, so be prepared for that if you do make it there!

07:34 still blows my mind every time I see this parkrun. And ouch, you got caught napping and triple-scalped, very unlike you.

Yeah, its definitely interesting ! I'd lost all traction at the end after all that mud and couldn't respond, even if I'd wanted to ! I'll be back when its been dry and its a bit firmer underfoot to have my revenge !

Good run Matt considering the treacherous parts and the hills. Looks a tough course and gets tight at parts with runners.

Cheers Keith, Yeah it was a bit dicey out there in places. It is tougher than it appears, a lot more uphill than you expect there to be, it can be a bit tight sometimes around the top end at the small bridge and along the river !
