Travel Notes
* We flew into Pisa
* From the airport to Pisa central station, get the Pisa Mover Shuttle
(Lots of signs for this at the airport.)
(We bought tickets on the Trenitalia App from the airport to Lucca)
You scan the barcode to get on the Pisa Mover Shuttle.
Note: you have to check in all train journeys and you can do it on the app.
* Once at Pisa Central, the trains to Lucca are around every 30 minutes during the day.
It looked as though the regular trains to Lucca go from the same platform 2 Ovest (2 West)
* There is left luggage at the East end of platform one.
We left our luggage there and walked to see the Leaning tower of Pisa (25 minute walk)

Great to see Bella Italia and one of my favourite cities. Were there more tourist runners than locals?

12 tourists and 38 locals. The heavy rain may have put some locals off. It did stop raining at 9am.

Small but good quality field, so maybe the Italian parkruns are still very much a serious runner's affair. I saw you have that wobble after about 3.5k - glad it was only a hamstring. I saw you had another sub-21 on your next race, so you must have stretched that out with no ill effects 👍 Could you start adding your age-graded finish position? At 64 and running 23m+ I've been 3rd and 5th, so you've probably won a number. You probably hold 2 or 3 age-graded course records - do you know where?

Yes I’ll add the age grade details in the description. I did 5 days of heat and stretching several times a day. Around 300 of my parkruns are top 3 on age grade and I have a few age grade records. When I get home(I’m in Netherlands) I’ll message you on Facebook my age grade records etc

Wow. Knew you were good, but didn't realise you were quite THAT good! I had read that heat helped get a better stretch, so I may start trying that as well.

⁠​⁠@@adrianpullinger9711there are lots of runners my age that are better than me. Sometimes I am just in the right place at the right time. My recent improvement is down to weight loss.
