I have anxiously awaited Season 8. I love Shaun Evans as Morse. His hair is very healthy & attractive. He looks younger than 41. The romance between him & Joan is exciting. But just as you think they both will realize that love, one of them shrugs it off. Please never let Morse end, he can play that character forever.

Series 8 is out, was out 2020 /1 I think, not its best but still worth a watch, series 9 us being filmed in Oxford as we speak and will be released the end of this year or beginning of 23. I'd sat 23 as its usually in Feb or March time and it is the final 3 films. Heartbreaking.

Endeavour is my all time favorite detective series. Back in the day I watched Morse and thought that it was the pinnacle of crime series. In fact, I was leery when Endeavour was announced as a prequel to Morse. Was I ever surprised when I realized that I liked it even more! The writing, the scenery and, most of all, the cast is peerless. The fact that each character is portrayed as a fully functioning human being with all of their quirks and dark side that each character struggles with adds enormously to the overarching story. This is a cast of characters that you genuinely care about. I will go into deep mourning when Endeavour ends in a few weeks.😭

You have no idea what this show does to me. I started watching more as a child in thee 80s, then I read the books. The character that John thaw breathed life into has become like someone I know, so when Sean was to be a young morse I was worried, tense and elated all at the same time that he may destroy what I had imagined in my head. I worried needlessly. He brought him to life in a way I knew I would fall in love with. The spectacular supporting cast are just ad spectacular as Sean and can bring tears to one's eyes with a half smile or raised brow. The scripts and how they tie in with the older shows and books, giving us wonderful Easter egg after egg, explanations to why this happened or why test didn't happen are simply joyous fir a saddo like myself but not so integral that you don't know what is going on if you haven't watched or read the old stuff. To think that they are currently filming the last ever 3 endeavours to be made breaks my heart. To know there will be no more makes me feel a sadness I cant really convey or explain. Like I know I am never going to see an old love ever again, like he is going away somewhere I can't know how he is, only remember the old times . The only consolation could be if itv were to make another spin off of Hatherway but due to Lawrence's political views, sadly people can't see oast enough to make the fans happy and write it. Thank you to all the actors who have made this aging lady very happy. Thank you, very much. Please stick to the idea of what really happens and I will have my tissues at the ready as we know that more stays a batchelor....... I shall not write anymore for fear of my ideas being right and I don't want to spoil it for anyone else.

What we all know about Morse's later life is that he respects and genuinely likes women. I can't see him 'getting together' with lovely Joan if it isn't a long-term relationship. And changing her character to tragic would be a travesty. He never does get anyone long-term, does he? Quite unable to be domesticated, and we love him.

I'm pretty sure that Roger Allam's name should be pronounced "Allem" instead of "Ah-lahm." Also, at 1:00, his birthplace should be pronounced "Bow" as in bow tie and not "bow" as in a ship. Then, 8 seconds later, at 1:08, the narrator pronounces it "Olive-veer" awards whereas it should be "O-liv-ee-ay" as in Sir Laurence Olivier. Then at 2:06, the narrator pronounces the city as "Birming-ham" instead of "Birming-hmm." He makes the same mistake again at 4:44. Then at 2:39, he pronounces the county as "Lincoln-shire" whereas it should be pronounced "Lincoln-sher." The again, at 3:49, he pronounces it "South-wark" whereas it should be pronounced ""Suth-erk." Next, we come to 4:00 where he totally butchers the pronunciation of "esophageal". It's pronounced "Ee-soph-ah-je-al." Next, at 4:17, he pronounces Abigail Thaw's husband's name as "Ni-gell (hard 'G') whereas it's a soft 'G' as in "Ni-Jel." Next we come to 5:30, where this speaking challenged narrator pronounces "Edinburgh" as "Edin-berg". It is pronounced "Edin-brr." I can understand Americans mispronouncing many British names and places because, let's face it, they can be tricky. However, it you are going to be making a video about a British TV series, the very least one can do is learn how to pronounce the names the way they are in the UK.

And 60 year olds look 60. It’s why I prefer English TV. The English awards shows are/were really classy & funny especially when Stephan Fry was the presenter. They’re classy productions without being over the top. I used to watch all of the awards shows for the frocks but it seems things have changed in recent years with minority groups taking over & more menswear seems more prominent than frocks these days. And since the wonderful Joan Rivers died as did, eventually her show “Fashion Police” where’s the fun anymore? Oh, that’s right. The woke brigade stole humour.

I fell in love with Detective Morse at first sight! His handsome and intelligent face, graceful body movements, deep connection with music, love pain etc. These days, I am watching the old episodes of this beautiful series for the second time. I'm saving the final episode for last with curiosity and excitement. As a result of this unique tv experience there seems to be no difference between Morse and Shaun, sorry Mrs Evans :)
