I gotta say Nathan this old retired guy has become a convert, at first I thought you just lived in a mess and we're a totally disorganized kind of guy, but after watching a few of your technical videos I really like your down to earth manner and 3d printer knowledge, so you've got a new subscriber here and I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a new Ender KE in the near future, I wish they would have put linear rails on the Y access also so I don't have to upgrade that I've been printing on a tricked out anet A8 for the past 7 years I'm tired of bed leveling and constantly tinkering with the damn thing, it's time to upgrade thanks again I love your down to Earth approach and honesty!! The wife has given me the go ahead for a new modern updated printer I just gotta make up my mind I don't want to spend over 400 bucks, thanks again really enjoying your channel!!

My first printer was the Neptune 4 Pro, I returned it because I got some quality assurance issues and I got this printer, wow the packaging is nicely done and the printer feel really strong and stiff. I can confirm that you can assemble this in less than 10 min. All my prints are good quality. I have no regret, in my opinion this printer is underated at the moment. My only complain is that for now the printer's root isn't accessible so I'm not capable to access all features in Orcaslicer so I'm sticking to Creality slicer for now, but Creality unlocked the root on K1 so I'm confident they will do the same with the KE.

@Liberty4Ever

The Ender 3 V3 KE looks like a good update to the loooong line of Enders. Klipper is a real game changer, not only in print speed and print quality, but also ease of use. As always, Creality needs to allow full Klipper access on the KE so users can print directly from PrusaSlicer. I love that on my Neptune 4 Pro. Hey Creality... cloud printing sucks. WiFi directly from my computer to my printer is the way to go.

Looks like the KE is running the same MIPS processor as the K1. Interesting. That works pretty well for me on my K1, it's faster and runs the webcams better than the really cheap processors on the MKS boards you see everyone else using. Still strange to see MIPS floating around in this day and age -- but it does mean when you can root it, you'll use a process like you do on the K1 to get things like fluidd and whatnot. Not a problem, just slightly different. This looks like a really good printer, way better than the offers from Sovol or Elegoo. Creality haters are just living in the past, they've upped their game massively. You get things like Octoeverywhere and KAMP setup on something like this and it's pretty sweet. Default "Creality OS" is pretty plain, mind you. he just cuts himself off at the end of the video, no comb, no cares, classic Nathan video lol

I have an Ender 3 pro at home. It's worked well enough for me to still enjoy the hobby. But I've always struggled with first layer adhesion. Even with upgrading the bed and dialing settings, isopropyl alcohol, glue sticks, Etc. It has been the bane of my existence the entire time I've used it. I'm considering selling it off for just a few bucks. Maybe a hundred if I could get it. But more realistically between 60 and 80. Someone that actually knows what they're doing will likely have a great time with it. Think I'll save up and try to get my hands on one of these. That auto bed leveler seems to be a godsend.

This is the first printer I've bought that just WORKED...the only thing I really had to do (and I didn't really HAVE to, because it was printing fine)...the bed level was too weird for my taste, and I narrowed it down to the right Z-axis leadscrew needing adjustment to index is properly...as of 4 days I have probably 2 failed prints out of 50 just in the last few days, and those were just bed adhesion quick plate clean and I was back in business. I fed it everything from good PLA I had, to old 8 year old, vacuum seal broke on the bag, twisted and kinked, sloppy rolled, breaks more than it prints Catalyst PLA, and it printed just fine, the only time it broke was after a print (because the runout sensor *does* put a little tension on the filament.) It's not Voron fast, but it's pretty damn fast, and when I can buy 3 of these for the price of 1 Voron or a Prusa...that's an easy choice to make....they have most of the creature comforts. No more trying to find a raspberry pi somewhere worth the money to run octoprint, over the air updates, their slicer isn't my favorite, it's not intuitive at first, and some things are done in a dumb way; but it does work, and it has a nice little ecosystem that is sometimes handy. The only real con is that it's not the FULL experience of Klipper and mainsail and all that, but this is also a good entry level printer, because really, it's kinda hard to f*ck it up....and for veterans in the printing world, we're getting to the point we just want it to work, we've paid our dues, we don't need to be tinkering anymore. Just print, Dammit.

I'm fascinated by how low sound it seems to be while printing at full speed. One of my main issues with the Bambu P1S is that volume while full speed printing. Also that included plate looks SO great compared to what Creality used to provide with their Ender 3, I'm ordering a couple of those shortly. KE uses the same hotend as the K1. Has bigger motors than the SE and a PEI bed over the PC on the SE. The screen is a Nebula Pad, a smaller version of the Sonic Pad. The USB C on the back is to plug in a g-sensor for input shaping. They also have a compatible USB camera and LED light bar. I was able to get the sensor, camera, and lightbar for an additional $45. The sensor and lightbar comes standard on the CR-10SE, but is $100 more, although you are also getting X+Y linear rails plus dual z axis motors. The SE, KE, and CR-10SE are more or less the same family with SE having the least features, and CR-10SE having the most. The KE is right in the middle. The K1 would be the next step up from these 3.

I think it's a great printer for the price point. I'm not too crazy about Creality given their lack of customer service. They sell a million printers a year and don't have the support staff to handle the volume of complaints from problem machines (e.g. DOA or damaged during shipping). So I would probably get the similarly specced (and priced) Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro. Everything on that is similar to this KE, PLUS they have the additional fan bar for parts cooling and dual zone heating. It doesn't have linear rails on the X but it does have linear rods which works fine. I wish these ran a standardized 4-5 wire CANBUS to the printhead instead of 26 wires. Either way it's pretty impressive to see how far bedslingers have come in the last 2 years to be able to give CoreXY printers a run for their money.

I just bought a Kingroon KLP1 to replace my modded Ender3 and I'm never going to back to a bed-slinger. Less than $400 gets you Klipper with stylus, wifi or lan, usb for webcam, direct extruder, an induction probe, enclosure, coreXY movement on linear rails on all axis and all the benefits of that, compatible with E3D nozzles...I have to relocate the touchpad, change out the tinted window panels that came with it, and build an riser for the lid. Replace with new Bondtech CHT BI-Metal for printing PA-12 and good to go. Basically I'm saying that this will be the new best for buck machine until Creality decides to build something to match it, and then Creality will load it with cloud BS. I'm going to rebuild the Ender3 into something like an Ender5 with a Makertech switching hotend setup and 310x310 bed, mainly just because I have to do something with all the spare parts I have laying around. Multi-material printers are still way too expensive.

Yeah, not seeing that $199 price anywhere for the KE.

my bad, I copied the price over from the SE. Should be fixed now. It's $279, though there might be some sales if you watch for it.

Hey! Which 3d printer do you think is better, the Creality Ender 3 V3 KE or the Anycubic Cobra 2 pro? Thanks!

Subscribed. Like your no-nonsense manner of presenting information. I'm not looking for production value in these videos, just good usable information...keep up the good work! Just purchased Ender 3 v3 KE as my first printer. Well, not quite the truth, I just returned my first printer, the Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro...kept having failed prints and problems with bed adhesion. Love the auto bed leveling of this printer!

Almost bought a 3d printer, but it seems like these things are not built to last. It's too expensive for a disposable machine.

The blue one looks kinda janky, front top corner of the cabin especially. Insufficient cooling at that speed?
@NathanBuildsRobots
@NathanBuildsRobots 10 ай бұрын
Yeah, some print quality issues, but I'd just ave to slow down a little and I think the cooling would be able to keep up.

@@NathanBuildsRobots How long did the blue one take to print? It was done faster than the black one by the looks?

I'm looking for a printer, the first one for me. I want to print some automotive parts of the interior customized for myself etc. Do you think that KE will be enough? Or should i go with P1S which costs about twice that much? I'm looking for a quality/ease-of-use printer. You have run speed benchy, but what about a quality one? Would it be perfect just like from P1S, if it would be printed in normal speed? Or even slower maybe?

I feel like all these hand sliced benchys are kinda useless and show nothing. If you were touse the creality slicer to make a benchy it would take around 40-45 minutes, not 15 minutes.

Thanks for your review! I'm new to the 3D printing world and got my Ender-3 V3 KE and am very satisfied. But after around 50 hrs in, I experience huge problems with the adhesion of PLA models on the PEI plate. Any solutions? Already tried rubbing with IPA (when turned off) and usual cleaning. Thanks in advance!

smack on some cluestick. about every 5-6 prints i clean the buildplate in hot water and re-apply a fresh coat on the entire build plate. I've had struggles with prints coming lose from the buildplate, cluestick and regular cleaning solves it. I only print with PLA. other plastics might recuire other adheisives and buildplates.

I am not quite sure what you think of Creality Hyper PLA. I have used it on my K1as well as on my Bambu Lab A1 Mini with excelent results. It gives me the same fine print quality as the Bambu Lab Basic PLA.
