the argument for our health and they don't want us playing all the time is plain dishonest, the reasoning is because you will hop on tomorrow to grind it, you invested money into the game, you are capped and the general xp to get to cap is probably their minimal bottom line for player hours per player target, and they want that consistency controlled by them, its a mobile game esque tactic.

Battlefield 2042 has 10-15k players on Steam and it's not a problem to find a match. So how does Delta Force with its 100k players online is having difficulties with matchmaking time? The only answer is that those 100k players are spread within different skill layers.

no, they have a truck load of bots. Look at the scoreboard at the end of the match. You can see them in the game, never pushing the points, moving erratic, and the kD is weird for a 30 min game.

​@@JustHereForTheDialogue No, technically a kernel level anti-cheat can in fact monitor everything you do on your computer including capturing everything you type or speak into your mic and then send it anywhere it wants. And the operating system can't even see, know or prevent this. Since the code of the anti-cheat is only known by Tencent, noone can check what it really does. In Chinese hands I find it rather dangerous.

You probably have a Tencent owned kernal AC on your PC already and don’t know it. It’s more common than people realize. No idea why they just started crying about it when Valorant came out. Your data has probably already been bought and sold by Tencent many times. If you aren’t holding data sensitive to national security or CP I don’t really understand the fear. China doesn’t care what you’re doing on you PC. They already know.

Yea, thats my biggest complaint. I play Operations, and I spend more time trying to claim/redeem challenge rewards, or scanning through menus to remember which challenges I have / want to go for than I do getting my Loadout set up lol Why can't there just be 1 screen with all the active challenges, 1 screen with all the rewards? Especially when they get these weekend events or 1 week long events. Those give out a certain "currency" that you only have X days to get. But then once you get them you have to go to another sub menu somewhere to redeem them, etc. It's all way more complicated that it needs to be.

I would love a simplification of the events/challenges menus. It's like you have to go through 2 or 3 menus to see the challenges, and those will give a currency that either ranks up a pass automatically, that you then have to collect, or you have to use the event currency to go to a different menu and buy the rewards, you have to go multiple places to claim, etc. I wish there was just a Challenges/Events screen, and a Rewards screen. Rather than 6 different sub menus of challenges, some of which have their own sub menus, then another screen in another area that you have to go to redeem rewards for that challenge. It also feels very clunky and confusing when seeing/redeeming challenges shouldn't be a challenge itself.

I 100% agree with Enders here in the fact that the game is delivering stressful and frustrating matches, 9/10 I always get into these high ping lobbies and get those horrible "I shot him first but somehow he turned around and oneshot killed me" situations. Funny enough I get less stressed in their operations mode than in their warfare mode. The game definively has lots of potential but if they don't fix these major issues, people are going to start leaving the game.

bots on lower servers is not really a thing , im in Australia and quiet often end up in games with 18/18 and no bots, kinda wish they'd bring them back. My biggest gripe is Oceanic server can only play attack and defend and cant play King of the hill due to getting stuck at 63/64 - its all over the discord bugs and problems section but no fix in 3 revisions (2 alphas and now the beta)

Hey @EndersFPS I think there's something strange with how the game handles recoil. When firing in full auto the dot of you're sight bounces up and down. the first shot is line with the bottom of you're sight picture but when firing in full auto the bullets line up with the top of the recoil's "Bounce" instead of screen center. This can be seen with a center dot overlay. I noticed it especially with the G18 and iron sights. I trust you to take a look with how well you handled 2042's recoil bug. I Also don't know if this is a bug or is intentional but would love to hear you're take on it! For now its quite workable in game but I thought you might wanna hear about it if it is indeed bugged.

I would have thought recoil is definitely bugged but it is most likely mechanic design choice. Scope zoom adds massive amounts of actual recoil instead of just visual recoil with full auto but adds zero actual recoil when a gun is set to single fire.

For the XP limit, it’s pretty shitty for someone who works 2 weeks on 1 week off. I’m an adult, I work 10+ hour days 7 days a week for 2 weeks at-least. Almost always out of town. When I get home hitting my XP limit in one 8 hour grind is extremely frustrating since I won’t be able to make any progress for another 3 weeks without spending money one levels for the pass.

Every time I look at the scoreboard towards game end, I can see bunch of players with only single digit kills and barely no assists/revives - they did all that in 20ish minutes? @@802Garage these things go hand in hand my guy. The better you are the less players there are to match you with. The game starts to extend the connection range to match you with other good players. This means higher ping and a longer queue time. It’s worse in regions with less players like Australia as well. The less good players you have over all in a region the worse your ping and queue times will be. If your ping is consistently good you probably live in a region with a lot of players or you are running around with little Timmy stats.

Idk. Every content creator says there's SBMM or it feels like it, but my experience says otherwise. I average 60-80 kills, sometimes 100 every game if I ever decide to sweat and I've never gotten curb stomped the next match like how everyone is saying. The only times I don't do as well is when I wanna hang back to snipe or try out weird loadouts for the memes. My ping is consistently in the 20s too so either this is a regional thing cuz Im in Southeast Asia unlike most creators, or SBMM is simply not a thing. Just my 2 cents

Having 2 helicopters appearing simultaneously in a battle is extremely imbalanced when: We can't shoot them from a long distance, as they always fly very high to avoid fire, wait for the flare cooldown, and then attack again (with 2 helicopters at once). The flare skill cooldown is too fast, around 20 seconds, making it very difficult to attack them when they are controlled by skilled helicopter pilots.

I'd be willing to bet that their version of SBMM is going to eventually work out just fine. Obviously the sweats, myself included, are going to reach that amount of hours or levels, (whatever they determine experience is) before the casual players cross that line. I have hope that once the casual players accumulate the correct amount of hours to get past the beginner phase, in a couple weeks, or another month or two, it will flatten out the skill curve of these sweat lobbies. I think its too early to tell how the final product will be. We will have to wait until the casual players catch up.

my games of Delta force are different than yours, Ender. my games have actually been rather chill in most games. out of the maybe 15 games I've played, maybe 2 of the games i felt were unfair. those being on maps where the enemies were just owning us with vehicles. and then the other game where 1 enemy heli pilot was just killing everyone it was insane. if it helps im in Central Canada also, my wait times have been around 1-2 minutes at max. im amazed that some people are getting 8 minute wait times, and my ping has been roughly 95 and lower

The XP cap for the battle pass is a simple issue. If you unlock everything in the battle pass quickly, many people will quickly feel at a loss and not trying much in this game if there was no major updates. Therefore, limiting XP can help maintain daily activity.

I'm pretty sure that ranked uses a standard MMR system for matchmaking. For me, all matches were ez mode till mid colonel rank, after which games gradually became a little more challenging to general rank, where I actually need to try a bit. I think introducing an unranked mode with no SBMM would solve all the issues. If you want comp, you can play ranked, but you can also have some chilled games in unranked. And casuals can stay ranked if they choose where they're protected from 3 KPM boogieman. Also, the Battle Pass thing is just a forced player retention mechanic. They want people to keep logging into the game to keep the player numbers up for more extended periods of time. spread when shotguns/vehicles nerf when wallhack arrow redesign when

Their description of SBMM matches my experience since I only really felt it after my first few matches. Over time the matches I get seem pretty varied which is noticeable in the conquest/king of the hill mode. Attack and defend in this game is so chaotic the experience feels very homogeneous, they should reduce the number of players in attack and defend to 32 or 24.

The whole battlepass xp limit reasoning is funny because in China (where the devs are located) people have a limited amount of time they are allowed to play per day per the mandate of the CCP. Basically mandating there country's own rules into the game lol

I understand you saying the more you play the better you get. I am a new player but at the moment with this game there is no time to get good if you know what I mean. Destroyed instantly time after time by players that have clearly have better weapons and experience. (I get that and thats great for them. We all want that) But starting out with bad weapons that take forever to level up and the stress you talk about is too much. No balance to 'get you going' if you are late to the game. Time to uninstall? Or keep pulling out the small amount of hair i have left 🙂

There is no way we still talk about SBMM. I'm averaging 80-100 kills per map while just rushing mindlessly to win objectives. Yet I've never seen a good skill based lobby. My teammates are always afk camping on the other side of map. No one is doing 1v10 rushes, no one pushes objectives, no one is creating a single pressure on the whole map. Barely seen one good player in this game. If there was SBMM, I would have way higher matchmaking time and my teammates and enemy team would run around and hunt kills way more.

When i log into Warfare show me just Warfare related stuff and not a pass to play extraction when i dont play extraction. I have been gaming for many decades and if you want to get good you play against better players. I also don't think a game developer should restrict your playtime. Also when I watch Enders play I don't know how he doesn't get killed all the time. How you run out in the open and not get blasted is crazy! I don't peek a door and I get swiss cheesed every time or get sniped from across the map.

Regarding ping, since I only saw it happening to you enders I just want to throw another posibility out there. I come from a IT networking background and I had issues when playing Faceit Counter Strike when connecting to swedish servers. I somewhow got 120ms ping despite testing several swedish locations with 50ms. Issue was with the ddos protection of the server (cloudflare) and my ISP. Some BGP routing was causing issues and it was resolved without creating a ticket within two weeks as this also affected buisinesses who depended on that network route. So I can totally see DF devs point here although it would also 100% be plausible to be caused by SBMM. Just my 2 cents.

Yes something is not right with the antycheat, probably it wont close and works in background or something. As my PC wont shutdown after playing Delta force it stuck on Blue shutdown screen. Its not that often when i play via steam but still was happen to me, sadly. I report it even directly to Antycheat guys but they not even respond.

And want to comment about the anti cheat. What is your definition of "monitoring" us. In some sort, the point of anti cheat would be to monitor you. What you are using, what you doing etc. If they look through your personal files on your hard drive, I actually highly doubt that, even if it is the "scary" china that develops the game. The whole point of a anti cheat method is to "monitor" your playstyle. If they do it outside the game it would be extremly bad for sure.

I mean this is what kernal level anti cheat does. It scans you computer for known flagged cheats. It’s not like some AI detecting behaviors ingame. It’s looking for nefarious programs. Kernal level is the deepest access a program can have to you computer. It can look through literally anything it wants. Most people already play one or more game with a system like this. People just cry when it’s owned by Tencent cause it’s a Chinese company. Let’s be real if you spend any significant amount of time online you data has already been bought and sold hundreds of times. Best to just relax and enjoy your game.

Tencent is a MASSIVE Chinese conglomerate with some shady business practices and thus they are easy to hate. In my PERSONAL experience the sbmm in this game feels minimal if at all. It honestly feel like quick searching for a game in bf. I find sweaty lobbies, I find easy ones. Most seem to feel average. I've had maybe 3 games with a ping over 60. My lobbies constantly have the top few players doing well, most avg & a few bad with the occasional super sweat. I honestly don't think the sbmm is very aggressive in this game. The only time I feel like it could potentially be is if I'm playing at like 3am where most ppl playing at that time are usually pretty good. The more casual ppl aren't on but even then it feels like a 3am bf lobby. Again, this is just my experience but maybe the non persistent lobbies are making it feel like sbmm is aggressive. The biggest example of sbmm is cod & a symptom of their system was the removal of persistent lobbies. I'd wager a lot of df players are also cod players & I think that may be causing a placebo effect where bc one game w sbmm does this it makes another title w a similar mechanic feel like it too
