it is either Kal's Grimdark Pirate Pack or PillageToPirate. Both change bows to guns so who knows

can someone explain how distant horizon works? when i use it only the chunks where i've already been will show up and not every chunk like in the video

That's just how it simply works if you have the generator off or in multiplayer. Every chunk generated will make distant horizon generate the LoD version of it.

It's like this. It will only be rendered when you walk past it. Pulling the cpu to the highest level in the settings will also render the surrounding squares, but it won't be too far away.
