Last year, 217 people were killed in drug-related killings in Miami. Confronting this crime wave is the elite SWAT unit. With an arsenal of military-grade weapons at their disposal, they’re also responsible for tackling armed robberies and at the frontline in the case of terrorist attacks. We followed them at work for several months.

Thank you for a great piece on SWAT! Two weeks ago I was in Miami with a buddy and saw SWAT on a morning run on Ocean St. First an armored vehicle, followed by a company of policemen. We serve in GISW, which is the Intervention Group of the Prison Service. In Poland it is a kind of SWAT of the Prison Service. When the policemen came for coffee, we took a picture with them and gave them our uniform patch :) Thanks You !!! Poland and US !!!

Do you live in Miami or complaining about another city? Either way, there's legitimate bad decisions people make that couldn't care less about rehab or education, they want the criminal moves
@TransNeingerian2 ай бұрын
@@troylee4196 I live near the southern border. Are you saying miami is the only place that traffics drugs? Can I not infer and make relevant comments without directly experiencing the exact behavior? I dont see someone that uses or posseses drugs as a criminal. Criminalizing drugs creates a black market. Let them make it in the US so they dont worry about smuggling. Teach responsible use. Punish regular crimes where drugs exacerbated the outcome, like DUIs, more harshly than a non-intoxicated crime. Alcohol is worse than some drugs and we allow that because we can standardize and tax it. Let people make their own decisions instead of giving government more reason to mishandle spending our taxes abuse citizen independence and privacy.
@troylee41962 ай бұрын
@@TransNeingerianI asked those first questions to overall get engage in a broad thought not necessarily to infer anything like that I'm not gonna sit here and act like I have a bunch of answers, if drug use should be legalized but controlled in designated building or if education will solve a bunch of problems But police having resources that are similar to military grade isn't always a bad thing and properly trained and financed police forces definitely isn't because there's legitimately bad people who couldn't care less about, in this example you've brought up, drugs being legalized and just want rebellion and problems for others and the police (if they do their job properly) should have the mindset of preventing people who want to be criminals and take advantage of others
@TransNeingerian2 ай бұрын
@@troylee4196 I think if we need military equipped personnel to handle people causing problems too big for normal police we should use the state's national guard. They're already funded and trained.

We need this kind of Law And Order Nation/wide. Air Patrol especially that can really zoom in on the source of these Drugs and illegal firearms, all kinds of crimes that can be tracked though air patrol Choppers as well as street patrol because nobody has no business out after mid-night unless they are on a legitimate errand. Alot of criminals are on the prowl after mid-night just cruising around looking to harm innocent victims, home invasions, car break ins, car thefts, vandalisms etc. The list goes on. Crime itself can be nipped in the bud through a careful air patrol units by chopper that can dispatch ground patrol units to the exact locations to patrol and catch criminals.
