Avengers: Endgame was a long movie already, but there is one deleted scene that fans have been talking about ever since they first heard of its existence. The scene would have taken place after Tony Stark sacrificed himself for the good of the universe, and would have seen him talking to his daughter in the afterlife. It would have been the only time in the film we would have seen Katherine Langford as a grown Morgan Stark, and while the scene was emotional, it was ultimately deemed unnecessary. Not really. If you take a standpoint from the mind of Tony Stark himself that scene was supposed to show what was unresolved in his life. Although that wouldn’t of been a terrible idea, Yinsen isn’t an unresolved issue such as the time he could of spent with his daughter.

That might make sense in character, but would be irrelevant. For example, the most he would get by talking to yinsen would be to hear how he didn't waste his life which, duh, he saved the universe. His dad was already pretty much completely resolved with "my greatest creation will always be you". Taking his character motivation from endgame though, he was reluctant to help originally because after losing Peter, he didn't want to lose his new daughter and family because he had barely moved on, so in a sense, sacrificing himself may seem like he failed, which I assume this scene was meant to resolve

Return of the king does not have too many endings all the “endings” conclude different stories and are all necessary. As mount Doom erupts, Sauron’s tower collapses and the eye explodes the story of the ring and the darkness over middle earth has passed. When Aragorn becomes king it completes his destiny. When the hobbits return home it signifies the end of the fellowship as everyone is back we’re they belong living out the rest of their lives. Then when Frodo leaves middle earth his journey is over, since as much as the rest of the fellowship are main characters Frodo is really the overarching main character.

The scene would’ve taken away from Tony’s death. It was powerful, no real last words, nothing, just staring, dying, then silence. He dies, Iron Man is gone, there’s a funeral, grief, Steve passes the torch on and lived a whole life with the one he really loved most. The end, it was bittersweet, not sappy at all. It was dark and tender and handled with respect. I’m glad it was cut, now the Disney+ version will be...odd.
