Endgame Gear XM2we Update Review (basically a wireless XM1)

Ok website is mostly updated now, still missing some mice but should be mostly good to go. I want to try get this rewrite of my first novel out early next month ... so I'm going to be focusing on that along with a couple of other projects. I got the white XM2we back in March. It's my first wireless mouse and it's coating top tier. Also mine doesn't squeak on side flex at all. The low battery light is in a very convenient spot it's under the mouse 1 button and will blink when low. Anyone on wired mouse you gotta upgrade to wireless it's a real game changer.

Mr. Bollack aka Johnny R. also played a big part back in the Days with the Logitech G3...he gave me a call asked about Sidebuttons Placement, because i modded a Logitech MX300 (played it for 6+years) and re-positioned the DPI Cycle Button to the left Chassis Side and how "awful" it would feel to have a button on both sides of the mouse. Met him first time on a small 300 Man Lan where we shared our experiences with different kinds of Silicone Spray Brands. That was in a time where 0.8mm pure Plastic Pads where a thing and lubing your Pad with silicone/teflon spray before every Counterstrike Match, was the real thing ^^ . You sure remember those Quake Plastic Pads @RocketjumpNinja that looked like a Batman Symbol ^^ you could literally kill people with those thats how heavy they were ^^ a good old times...

In what I see, is that it has the hump in the back more and not in the middle as the sensei. I think this is better to have the hump in the back if you are uplifting the mouse most of the times.

I tend to use grip tape now on all of my mice. But I have worn the coating on many mice over the years I have been gaming.

I've said it before but 21:9 looks great even though I'm on a 16:9. My next build will definitely be an ultra-wide.

It's kind of annoying at times, but yeah I'm really enjoying it. 32:9 is great for content creation, but gaming is kinda silly on it, while 21:9 seems like a happy medium.

FWIW, I ended up getting a Pulsar X2V2 Mini and couldn't be happier. I love the shape and it's really well built. Huge upgrade over my old Razer Deathadder V2 and about 40g lighter.

First thought and safest recommendation would be this ... suits that grip style more. That said, the NP01S somehow works for bigger hands too, but it's a wild card for that hand size and grip style. Like it could be good, but I'm not as confident like with the XM2we. Tough recommendation. Hope that helps a bit anyway!

Hey RJN, I'm currently dealing with the issue of as you called it, "limbo jumps" on my G Pro X Superlight. Have you ever managed to find a remedy for it or is it something that comes from the factory and will just need an RMA? Thanks!

It's just an issue with scroll wheels, pretty much all of them will give you a "limbo jump" at some point, but it seems if there isn't enough tension on the steps, then the steps aren't as defined, and so the wheel ends up between the steps more often, which means it'll have to tick over to one of the steps at some point, thus causing the "limbo jump". That's why I call it limbo jump, the wheel is in between steps. I doubt companies are going to honour RMA for it, as it's technically not a defect, just the way wheels work. The best solution I've found so far, other than buying a mouse with good tension on the wheel, is to pay more attention to your wheel after you've used it. If you're tap strafing in a battle though ... well, good luck I guess. I'll put more focus on it in videos so hopefully the mouse companies and figure out a solution.

I only really started to notice these limbo jumps, or a better way to describe it I suppose it when I'm scrolling down sometimes the scroll will jump up a step and vice versa? And then yeah, it's like you said on the inbetween of a scroll step it'll cause a jump. But this only happened maybe 5-6 months in? And weirdly enough another friend of mine who bought the same mouse 7-8 months before I did is having the same exact issue, but people I know who have had the mouse for 1-2 years by this point have never had the issue. I suppose if you could give any advice on my issue? Where when I scroll down on some steps it'll go the opposite direction and vice versa? And someimes it won't trigger at all I've noticed that in games like CS where I use scroll down for jumping, and sometimes scrolling down just won't do anything in game I presume it's cause the scroll has gone the opposite direction. @Kinggaming60 oh if it's scrolling the opposite direction every now and then, that's a different issue. I've rarely had that, only on Finalmouse mice. Not sure of a fix sorry, might be firmware fault. Raise it with support?

I just wanna ask , was there's an existing mouse that has thumb button which are in the lower part of the mouse? instead of the button that we are used to? because that thing is always bothered my brain when I needed it .. I think it's more of a useful function and will be very efficient if its in the bottom part since our thumb always rest there in that part. you'll just need to play your thumb there and no need to reach a higher node or area of the mouse. also need the best soft third button(scroll wheel button) because like my logitech mouse it's so hard to press the third button some games needs a better and soft scroll wheel button How I wish manufacturer would consider this .

Any plans to check out the OP1we? Just got mine and the shape feels good so far but I'll need to use it for a couple weeks before i can make an actual judgement. Feels kind of like an improved xtrfy m4 shape in my hand. (p.s. everyone praises the coating on the endgame gear mice, I had the batch one xm1 and it was horrible, then multiple times they themselves said they improved it but you still always saw these sweaty fingerprints all over the coating right on a new copy in every video review, just like in this video here. My chalky black lamzu mini felt the best so far but sadly I think they changed that coating even (tried the og v2 atlantis now) and it feels slightly sweatier after a short time and also shows fingerprint more now. But when I see 0:20 on a mouse coating it triggers my ocd... I just can't. I think I would actually have to go to the white versions for future mice from either endgame gear or lamzu.

Lol, literally every high end black mouse is the same thing. People praise Pulsar's coating on the xlite V3 and that thing turns into a disgusting oily mess just by looking at it. I've finally come to terms with the fact that buying a black mouse is just not an option anymore lol

It's just oil marks on the plastic ... cleans off reasonably well but still shows. I think it's just a bad choice of plastic. I'm sure it has other benefits, but don't really want a mouse looking like this on the desk so yeah, something to address going forward.

does anyone know if rjn uses a green mousepad in order to have like his hand green screened at the bottom? and is this possible with say a purple mouse pad and chroma key filter? I am really intrigued by this idea

Yeah I'm using green at the moment because I was testing a blue mouse, but otherwise I use a blue pad. Xtrfy have a green pad available: cherryxtrfy.com/mousepads/gp5-creator-green-xl/ As for purple ... so the colour is more about what's going to stand out. If it's dark purple or has too many variations of purple in it, then your tolerance level in OBS is going to have to be too high, and you'll start to lose your hand / mouse to it. I'd recommend getting a Razer Kiyo Pro (best cam I've used so far for mouse cam) and have good lighting if it's a dark pad. Bright pads tend to need less light, but good lighting still helps.

I mean, this review would be great 8 months ago, as of now it's irrelevant since i already had it for months (as many others). I'm about to release my first novel again, just spent over a year rewriting it, so yeah that's the focus, not growth here. I realised a long time ago that competitive mice were really niche, if my goal is growth I'm better off doing other videos, not reviews. I'm simply doing these to help the community. Although I will apologise for the delay, I should've got to these earlier! Needed a break too though, was very burned out with mice.
