There is a flaw in that way of thinking. To improve, you must criticize. Sure, the criticism needs to be constructive not destructive. But, if people don't criticize, you will get the same shit over & over again. Film Industry is a business first art second. So film industry will keep producing shit as long as they are making profit. As an audience we vote with out wallet, what's worth watching and what is not. We should strive for pushing movies as an art form medium. And that requires being critical of what you consume.

The reason it's SO over the top is cos the movie stars Rajinikanth...he's a superstar and is often portrayed as someone who can beat the baddies in ridiculous ways with almost supernatural qualities - except he's really just a normal human in the film. So the director went bezerk when he could actually give this man a "logical" reason to be superhuman in this movie (since he's a robot) and had fun with it. Rajinikanth is an absolute phenomenon in India and his star power is unparalleled and really quite inexplicable. They declare unofficial public holidays in certain states of India when his films release and places of work actually close for the day. That's how crazy his fan following is...they had a blast with this film.
