What a beautiful message! And so well said. In our community, hunger awareness is very alive and well. During the hurricane, when the kids missed many days of school, the local high school (where my husband teaches) offered bagged meals for anyone in need every day. They also offer meals in the summer months, the support coming from donations and the community center. Hunger in America is real, and it shouldn't be!!

Oh wow! I'm so grateful your husband's school does this! 🥹 I don't think people are even aware most times how NEEDED school lunches are! Bless them for helping to look out for their community! ❤️

@@foundationlady Sometimes entire families show up, and they are given food to last for several days. They also provide meals during the summer months! They drive around to different neighborhoods on school buses to drop off food. It's all done by the cafeteria workers and volunteers!
