Ending Crash to Desktop (CTD) in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020

Dude. Thank you!!! Was absolutely pulling my hair out trying Sooo many things... CTD once I hit FLY every single time like clockwork. Tried reinstalling to SSD (was on an HDD) along with 50 other things, firewall settings, etc. It was the hardware accelerated GPU scheduling that fixed it.

Nice video. Recently started getting CTDs. It doesn't even reach the main screen. Have done fresh install , no luck. Any solution you have?

the issue for me is. when i launch the game it crashes half way loaded and leaves me to desktop or other programs i had turned on

crashing during start up is generally add on related but it could be hardware related too.

​@@CRgamingMSFS Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz 2.90 GHz Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.87 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor i have the worst specs ever. and when i launch the game the pixels glitches out and the display only shows is all time glitches out and on loading like the planes are flying is hardly understandable and the game is lagging so hard that the music clips out even tho its brand new. (2 yrs) (its a laptop) im saving up for a gaming laptop

I give up. I tried vanilla installs with no addons on two machines - one R9, one Threadripper. Even vanilla Win 11 with vanilla FS - that didn't even make to the menu. I tried all of my GPU's - 4090, 3090, and a 3080ti. All stress tests pass with flying colours. Temps are fine. All my work stuff (Houdini, GPU rendering, Resolve) as well as other games run without issues. I tried Windows 10 and 11. Went through various Nvidia driver versions. Nothing gets this program to run longer than 20min without crashing. This can only be crappy programming.

Typical - My Core Temp 1.17.1 is not like yours. I don't have a temperature reading for individual cores rather, the frequency for individual cores. I only have ONE temperature reading and that is at the bottom of the pop-up window which states CPU #0 temperature reading - which is presently at 95 degrees C under test. Therefore, how do I get the pop-up window to show the individual core temperatures as on your video?

my GPU clock also seems unstable. Mostly it says 350MHz and sometimes it jumps to 1150MHz for a second then goes back to 350MHz. Could it be the cause?

Ok for me I solved my CTD problem : In the graphic settings I reduced my buildings setting to medium. On high it will crash to desktop in big cities.

@@OrionDronePhotography I've done all the usual suspects, community folder, drivers, updates, CPU and GPU stress test... Nothing worked until this parameter. I understand this is for my system only. My CPU and GPU temps in the game are amost 10* lower compared to the stress test.
