You know, I don't think the year we started watching the show matters. What I think is important, is how you felt with, and without those characters. Of course, seeing one return years after hits the most, but deep down, it is our connection with the character that makes us feel that way. March 3rd 2004, around 8:50PM. The first episode of NCIS is broadcasted on french TV (I am french). I am almost 11 and I have school the next day. I remember falling in love with that show on the first minutes (Had the same with Criminal Minds and Psych, the french dub of the latter is SICK). Do I feel like seeing a lifeless Ducky made me cry more than you ? Do I feel like seeing Tony at the end made me happier than you ? No, because we don't have the same feeling. And if I am being honest, I would like to know what made you feel the most sad, happy, made you the most laugh in that great TV show 😁

@@anthonyr.9605 wow, I have always felt like the best moments on the show were watching the characters and relationships grow and develop, mcgee going from probie to senior field agent, nick and ellie’s and tony and ziva’s relationships The saddest were seeing all those characters leave, which is the worst part about long shows like this one. I fell in love with NCIS in my science class after our state testing, when my teacher put it on netflix and i just continued watching it at home. We all have that one character we love more than the others because we feel closer to them and this is the best feeling. And I could not have said your last sentence better. @@lycadia You know what Ducky would say about technology, “It separates the human mind from reality. The authenticity of human contact is truly more remarkable compared to the amount of time spent on a pixelated rectangle, which has a tendency to dull the mind and transform ourselves into empty shells of the men and women was used to be. But not me, no. In my time technology was as simple as delivering a sharp end into the human sternum by hand, steady breaking through the outer surface until revealing the inner sanctum of the human abdomen. And once we had begun our journey, we would explore the wonders of our anatomy. That, in my professional opinion is far greater than any shiny new rectangle hand in one’s hand any day.”

The great thing about David here is that he studied not only his characters, but the jobs they were involved in as well and David learnt to do autopsies as well. I went to a funeral home with my h.s. Sociology class in my sr. year as part of a career field trip. I also used to watch "Quincy, M.E." and knew what to expect in the autopsy room. I later read books by Patricia Cornwell, Kathy Reichs, and others, but wanted to go into teaching special kids instead (David's Hamilton Cade in "Teacher, Teacher" and a former teacher I had gave me inspiration-and so did David himself in '76 and '78 when I met him). Oh my, this is unexpected but sometimes there are a lot more surprises with a series like The Awesome Tesser. Oh the memories of Ducky talking to those people lying on those tables and watching him pass on his words of wisdom to his friends and his smile and turning off the lab's lights a man who had seen it all but sometimes there's a memory to then for him to solve a case at the last minute. A Scottish actor who we all knew well throughout the years on screen an agent of uncle to an invisible man then a couple more and then Ducky. David we will miss your precious on NCIS but I say you'll be there in spirit as the ME of charm and wisdom. Ducky was the best part of this series his passing was a shock and a great loss to everyone who enjoyed Ducky he will never be forgotten and the same for the man behind those amazing stories. David thank you and god bless and rest in peace may your soul travel to the Highlands of your birth David.

Man, they really just keep teasing the people who want to see Tony with Ziva again on the show instead of one at a time.
@mortimerbrewster367111 ай бұрын
I would start watching again if Tony came back; Ziva would be a bonus but not necessary. Weatherly has lost a lot of weight and is looking very good.

Yea without Tony and ziva it's just not that good especially since ellie left (the blonde chik) the fbi guy who took over for Gibbs is a bore

Apparently they are making a spin-off with Tony and Ziva

It's good as long as McGee and Palmer are still there, don't mind Parker but can't stand Torres.

Tony, never ever stop wearing suits, my man. Very few men in the world can wear 'em like you can. Thanks for the Dinosey/Dinotso/Dinozzo memories.

He looks a lot better than he did in the season 13 finale
@reneejett650911 ай бұрын
He's older than that in the beginning, logistically he couldn't have been 21, he'd already been a LEO for 4-6 years

Looks like he's been keeping in shape. He definitely looks better than he did on Bull.
@sst191111 ай бұрын
@reneejett6509 they said 21 years older, not 21 years old. As in, the show has been on the air for 21 years.
@mortimerbrewster367111 ай бұрын
@@nikunjdixit1175 Exactly what I was thinking. I don't think he has been working as much since Bull ended so I wonder if it's the sit around and wait that happens a lot on sets that caused him to gain and keep the weight.

Kinda wish Tony or McGee would said something like “Abby and Ziva are already waiting upstairs for us.” Something like that to show they were there, cause I know we all know they’d be at Ducky’s funeral. They didn’t have to show the actresses, but it would’ve been cool if they mentioned them or something.

Remembering Ducky in this venue was classic. Word has it that Tony and Ziva will to return while in Paris with their daughter. Supposedly filming has already begun.

Not to criticize anyone, but the last scene should have been at the cemetery with Gibbs standing off in the distance honoring his old friend. OMG, how I will miss those stories. 😢😢😢

I really enjoyed they way the integrated his real life passing with this storyline. I wish more shows paid tribute to their long standing characters who actors died in real life. Not just the "In memory" at the end of the last scene when everyone already skipping to next episode or logging off.

Sadly I don't watch ncis anymore I quit after certain characters left, as I changed too but this was such a fitting tribute to David McCallum As Jimmy said all we have are the stories, but tony said no we have the people we loved and the lives we touched. David McCallum gave us so much from the man from uncle to several odd guest appearances in shows then to Ncis We shouldn't mourn him as we lost a great talent and a great character. But he will always be loved and in our hearts and shows. Heroes don't die Legends live forever Thank you David McCallum for The years that you gave us. You made the character of Donald 'ducky' mallard yours, and I loved you on the show. RIP David McCallum I will always be a fan of yours

I made the mistake of watching a 1st season episode of NCIS (missing the JAG intro) and thinking, "Oh, the guy from Man From Uncle" and turned the channel. Boy, was I embarrassed when, for whatever reason, within the first 5 seasons, I picked it up again. My wife and I have watched every episode, including the JAG 2 parter, and have loved the ride. My apologies to David McCallum.
