Hey Jess your messages are always so needed. I’m currently in the ER with my mother who I found on the floor and out of it when I got to her. Being comfortable with the darkness and unknown is ringing very true right now 😢 I feel this has pushed her to take care of her self and get nourishing rest since she’s worked so hard. Truly scary for me though. I’m watching this in the hospital with her and praying. Thank you ❤

For me winter is about making sure everyone and everything is fed. I love eating good home cooked meals from scratch in winter. I give free meals out to people who I know cannot make homemade meals. I love feeding the hedgehogs up ready for their hibernation. I love feeding the birds, in order to survive their first winter. Charity work is a big one for me at Christmas. It's the best time to give. Also I love lots of naps.

Hey Jess, thank you always for sharing your wisdom. I appreciated this video. For me, I’m definitely in an awkward mental place at the time of the solstice. I’ve got a strong “logical” aspect and a strong intuitive aspect. I recently experienced something that made me second guess my positioning. Am I where I’m supposed to be? Before this disruption came into my life I felt like I was living in my purpose. And though it made me doubt my path, after sharing what had happened my community immediately supported me and I realized how supported I actually was. I’m not alone. So it feels awkward because I want to run but I’m not going to because I also feel like I’m on my Divine Path. That logical aspect is terrified. My intuition feels like I’m placed exactly where I oughta be and when it’s time to go I’ll be ready and sure. It’s funny because I was starting to soar when I was knocked down and I feel like historically I would’ve listened to logic and hurt. But this time I’m just using the emotional journey as a way to process my truth and live in it knowing I’m both Divinely protected and guided. It’s uncomfortable but I think that’s a good thing. After the incident one community member actually gifted me a winter solstice spiritual kit. I wasn’t going to work with the Winter Solstice but the candle is burning and the simmer pot is on so I’m grateful for it. I feel guided to be where I am and I’m feeling fluid in my emotional state. Today I go pick up my birth fathers cremation. My brother lives states away and was told it will be $175 to ship it. I decided i got this so im 52 mins from my city to pick them up to save him money. It's a hard step for me because he was not a good man to me. There was so much abuse (physical and sexual) and neglect in so many ways it's out of this world. But this is my life and I chose to forgive him years ago. So making big moves in my healing journey today.

"What does the Winter Solstice mean to you?" That is an interesting question and something I have been reflecting on over the past year as holidays come and go. I have been practicing aligning my rhythms with Nature on my current journey. I hope to have solid foundational practices for the equinoxes and solstices so they will become my holidays. Still, I am a person who needs to know the “Why?” before I can practice anything. Self-reflection and self-improvement are things I have been doing since I was very young, and it has become second nature; in fact, I think it was the start of being properly aware of my spiritual journey as a kid. Hopefully, with the help of my Spiritual Guides, I will have the answer to this.
