Wow wow wow 😭 I don't know if I could have asked for a more perfect ending. I loved this game so much and it's such a beautiful end to this story. I just can't get over all the improvements through this series (still gotta play Lost Legacy though!) and how much deeper they got with the characters. What a joy it was to play these! What's really amazing is playing this game without the HUD, gaming hints, button prompts, Or tutorials that pop up. Makes it so much more cinematic when nothing ever pops up throughout the entire game lol. It's just you! It's an awesome way to play it once you're an Uncharted veteran. So much more immersive

You can actually see your reflection on the toaster near the end. And the bending bars while hanging was so good. The work and references is such a bonus in this game. The "Uncharted series will always be my favorite in gaming history. Been enjoying it for ages now. I love it.

Hands down my favourite playthrough series of yours Julia. Found your content in lockdown 2020 and the almost 5 year wait to see you play these was well worth it, thanks. Of course there have been other highlights but I personally love Uncharted above all other game series.Look forward to Lost Legacy, Chloe's story is a good one too. The action isn't over yet.

This game is something else. I had a PS4 when this came out, but never played any of the PS3 Uncharted games, so quickly played through them all on the Legacy Collection for the first time before jumping into this. It was one of the best gaming experiences of my life. The Crash Bandicoot segments were especially effective because I had no idea it was coming, and I grew up with the Crash games on PS1. Fun fact, did you know that's not just Crash 1 running in an emulator? They remade the first level of the game in the Uncharted 4 engine just for this game.

One thing I love about this game is how, despite following after the previous three games, there is no supernatural twist to the treasure. I went in to the late parts of this game so sure something was going to be cursed or magic or whatever, and in looking for that, that the actual twists and turns of the story caught me even more by surprise then they might have otherwise. A real "the twist is that there is no twist" moment, and while it wouldn't have worked in a standalone game or even an earlier sequel, I loved it as a direction for this finale kind of game.

I *love* FF7 and the remake series and am really excited to see how that ends, but I'm not sure the pure satisfaction can match the end of the Uncharted series. Once I saw Julia playing Uncharted 1, I raced to replay Uncharted 4. I teared up at the end, and I teared up again watching Julia's reaction.

If you look at Cassie's closet door, there's a poster for "the last of us: American daughters" comic. I don't think it's ever been released but i think it was going to be a story about Anna Williams getting bitten and giving birth to Ellie.

Yeah, it was originally going to be an animated short story about Ellie's mom and how Ellie was born, but it never got made. That story was later reused in the HBO The Last Of Us show as the intro of the final episode.

All that was just WILD wasn't it?! First of all Sam just went for the treasure anyway and Nate went after him of course. Meanwhile Nadine was finally coming to her senses about the treasure but that damn Rafe was just too greedy of an asshole to quit. Then on that ship she turned on Rafe and dumped him which was the right thing to do anyway in that case and then Rafe just came at Nate with a sword and they fought until Nate defeated him and saved Sam and they got out in time thank god. Then much later on Jameson retired and gave Nate & Elena his job which she bought thanks to Sam. Then I know you for sure loved that ending of when you just did a massive time skip to when Nate & Elena had a child named Cassie Drake and it looks like she might be on the road to becoming a big adventurer herself! Now its time for UNCHARTED: THE LOST LEGACY!!!

The ending of the epilogue is one of, if not the most satisfying, joyful, uplifting, and beautiful endings to a video game franchise ever. It is 100% earned and perfectly executed. Everything that the Mass Effect trilogy did wrong in handling how to end its story, Uncharted did everything right. Too often video game developers do not properly utilize the biggest advantage video games offer over other mediums of storytelling--the fact that the audience can interact with and participate in the story. Instead of just showing us that Nate and Elena have a daughter in the future, and become incredible successful as legitimate treasure hunters, Naughty Dog allows the player to experience and uncover it all at their own pace through the eyes of Cassandra Drake. We find ourselves right along side Cassie as she discovers the truth about her parents' past, and the very adventures we participated in across 4 incredible games. Then we get the amazing payoff of Nate and Elena beginning to reluctantly tell the story of their adventures from the beginning before it ends on the pictures of Nate and Sam and Nate, Sully, and Elena right before the incredible music crescendos right into the credits. Tears every time.

Neil wasn't in the leadership position when that happened, lol. All the drama happened between Evan Wells/Christoph Balestra (the heads of Naughty Dog at that time) and Amy Hennig. They apparently didn’t like the direction her version of Uncharted 4 was taking and were reports that various devs from that Uncharted 4 team didn’t have much faith in her vision, so they fired her. Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, who were working on an early version of TLOU 2 during that time, had to put that project on hold and were appointed project leads in the new version of Uncharted 4, which is the one we ended up getting. TBH I think they may actually have been right. My memory vaguely tells me her plan was to make Sam the villain out of anger at Nate leaving him in prison while Nate had all the glory and adventure. Basically, making him into Rafe. I could be remembering wrong, though.

Good game, but def overrated a bit. Borderline no setpieces and sections that go on for way too long. + tons of other issues like every gun fight forced to being big enough to fit into an Encounter on the select menu
