My plan had been to release them before Christmas... maybe late November... but my progress has been really slow, and the inks aren't working out how I'd hoped. Definitely within a few weeks of Christmas either way, though. Maybe after 🙂

As always I am always super happy to see you review from you Matt! I have always wondered how the alchemy inks compared to some of the many unusual inks that you seem to have. Maybe it's sometime you could do a comparison to not just other inks from India, but also some of your exclusives from Japan. Moreover I am super excited to have gotten a hint of which Advent calendar you are diving into. I remember last year you said you might not be doing an ink vent and was happy when you did one anyway. Now to see that it might be a color vent, the same one I'm going through makes me look forward to the holiday season even more! Thank you for all you do!

Hey Brad, I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the video. Yes, I'm doing the Colorverse calendar this year... and I probably would have taken the year off if Colorverse hadn't given us the new option. Getting some nice glass bottles out of it makes a huge difference to me... I hope that the inks are good 🙂

If you have trouble with the bottle standing upright on the cork use the sponge from the top & place on the cork. Hope this is helpful.

I’m with you, the Wizard’s Pencil is the pick of these inks. Writes like a Green/Black which is a fantastic colour as one can use it in formal writing, and still have a little colour to enjoy.

Bottle design is unique. Not a very very useful but definitely unique and eye catching. Green ink is beautiful. Very nice video. Keep it up sir.

Yes, this is definitely a bottle of ink for a person who doesn't need a practical bottle of ink. It would be a bit of a pain if I were traveling with some ink and had to carry the bottle and the cork mat... and the glass is thinner than most, too. It's definitely a desk bottle, not a backpack bottle.

Love your videos. It would help me if you made note of how waterproof the ink is. I'm currently looking for a grey waterproof or document ink I can use in conjunction with watercolor.

Ahh, understood. Dye-based inks are so rarely water resistant that I don't usually bother checking. Of course, Noodler's Lexington Grey is the common standard for watercolor under-sketching, and also DeAtrementis Document Grey... there are two of them... though for some reason I have still never tried any of them myself. Anyway, I'll try to remember to mention it in the future, either way. As for the Endless ink... I just dripped some water on my writing sample, and it made a big mess, with a lot of ink lifting away. After I ran it under water for a while, there was a strong shadow of the writing still visible on the paper... so I consider that to be a water resistant ink, but not ideal for painting.

I have a sampler of the Candy Sea and I really enjoy that one. I wound up with a whole bottle of the Wizards Pencil, but every time I've used it, I've been disappointed in it. I probably have used it in the wrong pens. I think a wetter pen to really get it to show some of it's properties better might do the trick, so I need to revisit it. Looks much nicer in this video. From the video, my favorite one was the Mystic Forest. Very pretty green with a nice sheen! That might be the one I get a bottle of

Actually, now that I think about it, the Wizard's Pencil was really cool in swatches, but fairly unremarkable when I wrote with it. I got the best shading with it from a dry pen, and it otherwise looked almost black with a bit of sheen when I wrote with it. I think I'll have to play with that one a bit more before I decide on a full bottle.

You should have a “swatch battle” with penultimate Dave or liane likes …. Unrelated I’m going to Japan next year I’m hopeful I’ll be in walking distance with a stationary shop while there .
