Endless Driving Loop - Blender Tutorial (Geometry Nodes)

Wanted to create a more step-by-step approach tutorial showing how I create these looping road & car animations with Geometry Nodes!

I got stuck on that too, now I'm stuck on the middle line. Its not moving on the Z and its flickering (I guess because its in the same place as the road). There's a lot to digest in this for someone whos never used geometry nodes.

For people who are in Blender 3.2: Instead of dragging the Bezier Circle from the layers menu to the geometry node editor, add a Curve Circle from the Curve Primitives directly in the geometry editor, and build from there. Set it to Radius, drag up the resolution and the rest of the tutorial should work as described.

If you're having trouble with the smoothness of your Bezier Curve, you have to adjust Resolution Preview in the Object Propreties

U have to set the z value of the curve line node to zero, so the road scales evenly

If you're using the latest version of blender. You use that group input > geometry that you used for the road width for everything and not object info! Had me stuck for a good minute.

Back when I used to use soft soft when I knew it kind of well I used the soft roll to make softs I thought it was just more effective

Hello, greetings from Rio de Janeiro. I'm racking my brains here to calculate the rotation (if I can call it that!) in a closed circuit a little more complex than a circle, like Daytona, for example. Or a generic race track circuit. Hi, this calculation of creating a keyframe at 0 and then a second at 360, works in a perfect circle. And if it were more complex, what would be the best node to calculate the animation in this circuit?

I had the same issue, you can change the resolution of the circle inside the object data properties panel of the cicle (under the shape sub menu). hope this helps!
