If you had given the entire army bolters perhaps they would have done a bit better? Also perhaps if you replaced the helicopter and some of the other vechials into something a bit more defense oriented? Not exactly sure how this battle could have been improved

If the Galactic Empire vs the Imperium of man scenario happened, the Imperium of man would win no doubt. I'm no 40k fanboy, in fact, I find Star Wars more interesting. However, you can't ignore the fact that the Imperium of man is colossal beyond imagination. In warhammer 40k, literally everything is overpowered, hence making it balanced. If you then bring in a faction from another universe that isn't as overpowered, it wouldn't stand a chance. The imperium of man would steamroll the galactic empire.

To make this a True Invasion of the Galactic Empire, The Stormtroopers would have the E-11 Blasters, The Imperial Troop Transport, as well as the AT-ST's and TIE Fighters and Bombers, Meanwhile, you'll be Defending with M-16A2's, M240 Squad Automatic Weapons, SLAM-R's and/or M72 LAW's, M60 Machine Guns, UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopters, AH-64 Apache Helicopters, F/A-18E Super Hornet's and F-35C Lightning II's or F-14D Tomcat's, A-6E Intuders and A-7E Corsair II's. Now that would be quite a Feat. I wonder if there's going to be a Map where the Naval Task Force with Have a Nimitz-like-class Aircraft Carrier, and Wasp-like-class Amphibious Assault Ship and a bunch of Cruisers, Destroyers and Frigates?

Contrary to popular belief, stormtroopers are actually REALLY GOOD at shooting targets The only reason they always miss the jedi in the films, is because the jedi are very good at avoiding/deflecting blaster fire If you watch closely you will actually find they have to deflect about 90 percent of blasts that are shot at them

Okay, here you go: 1. No modern military has any space-based warfare capacity, while the Empire has an entire Navy. Thus, there is nothing to stop them from simply bombarding the planet from orbit. No need to even use the Death Star! 2. Stormtrooper armour is made of inch-thick plasteel, and made to withstand energy weapons. There’s no way bullets are getting through that very easily. Their vehicles, having durasteel armour, will be even stronger. 3. Speaking of energy weapons, those will melt through any of our armour, vehicle or otherwise, like butter. 4. Vehicles here on Earth are restricted by terrain. The Empire however, has repulsorlift vehicles, and therefore will be able to go much farther and faster than we can. Some could even possibly hover over water. 5. The Empire has half a galaxy’s worth of resources, and even if every country on Earth banded together, we would only have a planet’s worth. The only advantage we would have over the Empire, I think, is that their energy shields would be useless against our bullets and missiles. But like I said before, their armour is just too strong. If I got anything here wrong please let me know!

So for the fun of it imma come up with a counter strategy, no argue let’s just have fun wit this. So, no matter how you spin it earth has superior atmospheric fighters, We’ve been perfecting them for a hundred years. Ties nor any other fighter the empire has would stand little chance in the air. And to invade they have to physically transport the troopers and armour to the surface. Ties and interceptors don’t have shielding nor most landing craft so regular ordinance should do fine. However if that’s not the case, arm a squadron of nuclear capable fighters like the F-35 with nuclear ordinance and deploy to counter. Shields won’t do them much good, they’re still made up of atoms which the atomic bomb dismantles to be so destructive. So shields won’t do anything especially ones fitted on fighters or small craft. Now to the matter of orbital bombardment, ISD’s are notoriously lacking point defence. So an hypersonic missile armed with a TSAR warhead moving at mach 5 should hit and a LOT of damage to ships. Star Wars doesn’t exactly follow our science and rules so this isn’t concrete, but it’s the best I could come up with. Feel free to criticize
