Same, the combat wasn't the best in my mind, but the art style, setting, and factions were all great. Eventually it was games like Age of Wonders: Planetfall and 4 that dragged me away since their tactic combat was a lot more enjoyable. Be interesting to see what they do here as I love the concept of a Civilization style game with a map that's not explored within the first opening turns instantly.

I love it. Seems like a combination dust eclipse winter! Changes to map movement, plus a reason to continue exploring (which the trailer strongly emphasizes). Amplitude is making big changes to the gameplay in intelligent ways and I'm eager to see what they do

I love the split personalities (archetypes) of the Narrator/Intelligence. The main male voice is the Persona, the speaker who sees things for what they seem to be. The harsh female voice is the Anima, the wounded one who sees things as threats and lashes out in anger. The soft female voice is the Shadow, the silenced one who sees things through hidden truths and wants to be set free.

I really hope they didn't keep the innovation for some general concepts. I've been tired of building/unit spam since Endless Legend. And they kept doing it in ES2 and Humankind. In the end it doesn't matter if their games are gorgeous and filled with new concepts, the core gameplay also need to evolve to support the new ideas, and personally I've lost that trust with Humankind. I really, really hope that Amplitude learnt its lessons.

Every new tome isn't just a tech that increases the numbers, it brings a new set up -> payoff mechanic that you discover and adapt to as you play. Enemy electrified? Smack it with lightning blades for even more damage. Apply mental mark before using psychic gaze. Drop fey mists on units that have fey guile or are fey touched. Every dozen turns you get a new tool that shakes up the gameplay and doesn't allow you to fall to routine.

Great news! Also, a request: please, please put in an option for instantaneous unit moves (both on the map and on the combat screen). That was a real problem in EL1, where even the "quick" option was slow as hell. Also please make this option accessible at any moment in the game, not just when launching a new game.

What a journey, I didn't expect that, and now we are getting so back. The music is so stellar, and the vibe is so pristine. Just perfection. One thing I get from the trailer is that I don't recall any 4x game actually delving into the legend aspect. Not legends like empires rising and falling but legends of actual massive events of titanic and world-changing scale, like we always hear from fantasy stories about the past and how the world is shaped by that past. And if amplitude provides game-play of being that past, we can finally experience that, instead of always just reading about that. The only game on a similar close level but not 4x I recall doing that was Tyranny.

The Cultists have softer, more sorrowful features, particularly in their curved brows, whereas the brows of the face on the logo lacks any of that. So if it is a Cultist then they've changed up their masks! Although of course either way, where there's Endless to be found (and I am sure some secret of the Endless lies buried beneath the waves of Saiadha) the Cult desire to find them and destroy them - so, there's always chance they could've made it off of Auriga and just not reached the Galactic stage...

Man the joy I got when I was finally be able to play it on my pc and the graphics didnt lag on me lol. I truly hope this can do the first one justice and expand it even more. Your environment team seems to have done a fantastic job! The unique buildings are a great touch too! I'm a big fan of Endless Legend and have great memories of it and i'm delighted to see us return to it! However much time has passed since EL1 and I feel your biggest battle will be with Age of Wonders 4, a game which has won me over with its customization, quality of life, and impressive mechanics. To be honest the team will have to pull out all the stops to contend, but I believe in you guys! Dig in and fight hard!

the only game to rival Civ 5 and Warhammer 3. Only problem is theres not enough Wonders for a multiplayer match. Whoever gets the first wonder build will usually build the other ones faster anyways so most games with friends just turn into them watching you dominate the game. If there were more paths and wonders to be had like in Civ 5 it would be great!

Endless Legend was by far my favourite 4x I've ever played. I can not wait for this one. If this one can have a better save/reload after a disconnect flow, it's a day one for me. Only complaint I had was the AI taking over and selling resources when I tried to reload a save.
