It's just a slightly different starting playstyle but, the thing I like to do my first turn is: splitting your starting army up to see more of the region and some of the surrounding regions (the next few turns) before you settle (your first 3 turns - first is best but never later than 3rd, if you have to wait that long, restart). you're under NO threat this early in the game and you can bring your army back together or start a second (if broken lords) between turn 10 - 20.. However the last part with two armies all depends on the faction you play, the difficulty settings and whether you're playing multiplayer or not. also with bribe and parley, if theres only one minor faction city, bribe is best. if theres 3, parley is best. If theres two, it depends on the quest you get from parley, accept parley, if its crap, then bribe

+James Christie This is usually what I've been doing lately. If the units are weaker, like the Cultist starting unit, I'll usually keep them together for quest purposes.

First advice you said first thing I did lol. The rest of the guide was all quite helpful as well, I'm not familiarized with 4X games as much... But I have a question, why do you focus with your first citizen on industry? I'd think getting more citizens is a priority?

ken masters Thanks! The seed is a number code for a specific map configuration. It does not appear to affect resources or anomalies, but determines region sizes, shapes, etc. The seed I gave in this vid no longer works because they've updated the game and map generation since.

Do you still play Endless Legend? Do you recommend ELCP (Endless Legend Community Patch)? Few tips, I recommend splitting your force, including your hero and then dart off to each their own direction. That way you cover the most ground. Don't worry about minor faction spawning, they will spawn in a few turns so not immediately. Also, the speed trinket is quite costly, so keep that in mind. (could be ELCP)

I am watching these tutorials, they are great, but I don't want to spoil game too much, So my question is - How many turns/timewise average game takes. I have been playing 1 game for 16+ hours I am turn 140, I have 8 workers max on 1 city,no Idea, how to get more workers, everything is very slow, 3rd Era Science, so I am a bit worried the game will take 60 hours 4 me to complete.

+Arch1994 If you're on standard speed, games will take somewhere between 150-250 turns (300 max). Which takes me maybe 3-4 hours if I'm taking my time. As you get better, you'll start lowering those turns. If you're having trouble growing a city, look into food buildings! Just make sure you have the Glassteel and Palladium to build the later tier ones. Also watch where you're placing the cities. When you're placing them, hover over the spot for a bit and it'll tell you how much FIDSI you'll get from those tiles.

+Mert Gülgün You certainly could with a couple factions. Roving Clans are typically smaller but with beefed up cities for improved trade route bonuses. Broken Lords similarly, but with dust bonuses. It's certainly not as crazy as Endless Space which is 'expand as much as you can or else'.

+Mordakar That's pretty typical early on in any strategy game. In Endless Legend it's especially important because you can search ruins for dust, resources, and quests.

See, that's the kind of information I'd expect to be in a tutorial. So, as you saw during the video when she plopped her settlers, she clicked the FIDS button (Food/Industry/Dust/Science) in the lower right. This shows how much you'll get from each hex. If you want your city to start strong in production, you'll want to find an area that'll give you high Industry (the orange value.) Typically seen in forests and some anomalies.

Another tip, when producing a settler, move all your people out of the Food column, your city won't grow while producing a settler, and you'll get the settler that much faster.
