As a fellow member of the bourgeoisie, I fondly remember the This Is Content series... I suppose it's a bit similar to the abridged commentaries, but there is something particularly endearing in random spur-of-the-moment bullshit.

@@OfficiallyDevin isn't that the one where Germany somehow eventually wins WW1, without invading the UK, and then magically doesn't become a barely functioning heavily in-dept country like it happened historically to the UK and France but in fact becomes a Super Power that can compete with the US economy through the power of fanboyism and "the colonies of the UK and France" (Because you know those country didn't have those colony irl)

@@Palora01 Pre-WW1 Prussia was great industrial powerhouse in Europe second only to UK, while pre ww1 US was just big cotton field with few oil deposits.
@Palora013 жыл бұрын
@@mikeangelo2886 yeah no, pre-ww1 US was well on it's way to becoming the biggest economy in the world and during WW1 it did become so. Meanwhile during WW1 Germany pretty much ran it self into the ground and had it won the war it would have been in a worst state than France was historically not better. If anything losing the war kinda made things easier on it since the US was willing to offer it loans.
@ProjectEkerTest333 жыл бұрын
@@Palora01 So Germany wins the war without invading UK cause once France falls Britain just signs a peace treaty having been defeated in France and (somehow) in the middle-east by the Ottomans. They do this because the British public are incresingly fed up of the war especially as they're losing though it still doesn't stop the revolution. Germany is still in a fairly rough state and are in a similar position to IRL Britain and France. While they are the dominant force in Europe their economy stangnates and then crashes leaving them vulnerable to Britsh, French and Russian revanchism. As for the US I'm not totally clear but I think cause France and Britain collapse and the new Syndicalist goverments ain't interested in paying debts owed to the US that makes the great depression even worse and political extremism on both sides of the spectrum eventually leads to a massive civil war. Does it make total sense? Probably not but it's a fun mod.

There's this small charming indie game about becoming the world's best fighter called punch club. Inexpensive and not overly long, filled with references to older movies and games. I think you might enjoy that.

Hope the algorithm treats the new channel well, IIRC your more in-depth videos attracted more viewers anyway. I'm relatively new to the channel, so I actually go through your old videos almost daily, I had a pretty shitty year (more than everyone, sadly) and they really help me wind down enough to sleep. Not that they're boring of course, sometimes I actually get up and watch them properly, anyhooo just wanted to say thanks. For WW2 I always heard good stuff about Unity of Command series, I guess they focus more on warring and less on governing in comparison to sth like HoI4.

How about Jagged Alliance 2? I enjoyed your XCOM/Xenonauts series, and it's a similar-to-but-different-enough-from game to those that I think it'd be worth you checking out. I also think The Guild II with its expansions could be a fun series to do, it's an amusing economic/political management game with RPG elements.
