Border crossing from Romania to Hungary at Nadlac. Both countries are members of the European Union, but Romania is becoming full Schengen around Easter 2025. Before that land borders still exist and especially in the holiday season border crossing might need a lot of time. When we crossed the border October 2nd 2024 crowd wasn't too bad, but that was the case only for us. This is what it looked like for trucks. Europe has reasonable distances, but truck drivers still need to spend a lot of time waiting at the border crossings. What a waste of time! The first half of the video is queue from Romania to Hungary and the second half is after we had crossed the border and I filmed upcoming traffic heading from Hungary to Romania. I didn't cut this video as I want you to see the lines to respect all those drivers waiting to get their duty done and to head back home.

@@daverichards308 it’s great if they can make it happen that soon. I feel pity for the truck drivers who have to wait for hours and hours to cross the border.

Is that how Romania named NAGYLAK which was it's name from the time it was founded in 1200 to 1920 and then 1938-45|

@@daverichards308 yes, (actually Nădlac, I just wrote it English way) and Slovaks call it Nadlak. What I understand it’s kind of twin town and called Nădlac in Romania side and Nagylak in the Hungary side (the old part). But I’m not familiar with the place, I just crossed the border there driving from Belgrade to Tampere. The border crossing is called Nădlac II (coming from the Romanian side), hence the name.
