23:00 No... Just no... You read the time off the back of the box and then.... you put it back on the table with the cover upside down. This can only mean one thing. The lid is on upside down (does not align with the back of the box). This can't happen :P

For me there just isn't enough new and interesting in this game compared to some of the more unique mixes of these mechanisms out there. It does not compare exactly to others, I agree, but it is also not better than the alternatives.

@P M Dune Imperium is stronger, as is Hand of Fate (sadly hard to find) as well as Wallace's Handful of Stars.

@@KristoVaher Dune Imperium just adds a "combat" (really just an auction) phase, otherwise it's mostly just deckbuilding and moving up tracks. Sure it's a fun game but not that "unique".

Don’t really agree with the sacred stones comment. Most era 1 ones will earn you around 4 points per round, meaning around 16 points at the end of the game. Era 2 ones can give you 10 points per round, but they only work on rounds 3 and 4, making 20 points. A 4 points gap doesn’t make, IMHO, era 1 stones not as worthy as era 2 ones. They are just marginally worse.

Ya.. it's possible I was giving them a SLIGHTLY short shrift. I did caveat that comment a bit. The nice thing about the Era 2 stones is that you can work your way toward them and do your main point scoring activities, where it feels like the Era 1 stones tend to kind of short circuit strategy a bit. Like I said though, it's pretty minimal. I don't think it's drastically broken. I initially thought that, but I did mention that I walked that back a bit.

Never mind. I had to rewatch what I said... I was a little bit harsher I think than what I remember saying. I did get myself into a situation where I bought one too many of them though.. so I think that memory stings a little :D
