I didn't get nasal leakage until I started taking Maca root pills. I noticed that sometimes when I took maca root, my nose would have this burning sensation! Omg! Then that's when the clogging started to happened! When my friends told me that I snore I just knew something wasn't right. I also noticed when I would bend over to tie my shoe or whatever, my nose would literally leak out clear liquid. Went to the doctor and they told me it was an Allergy as well. wow.. for me has been very painful, the liquid was entering also my lungs and my stomach causing me pain discomfort, depending on how I put my neck it leaked to my nose, I pass the covid it wasn't that bad, but then this. I'm also suffering with csf leak and in a next month get the date for surgery in PGI... i had a nasal (DNS )surgery in previous year n after one year i found whenever i suppose to bend in front some fresh water is coming out from left nasal cavity.. few weeks later went to the doctor infact visited so many doc then its diagnosed as CSF Rhinorrhea... after so many medication nth happened and finally doc decided to get surgery done... so I'm hoping for best rest God is almighty

Hi I read ur message. Actually if the liquid is clear n watery, it is more likely to be CSF from the brain but if it has a yellowish hue and sticky there it is less likely to be CSF ok.

Try and collect the fluid in a sterile container, cover it with aluminum foil, take it to your ENT dr, have them test for Beta 2 Transfers, which will confirm if it is a CSF leak or not.

Can an ENT see whether you have a hole when looking into your nose during a surgery to fix a deviated septum and turbinate reduction? I am supposed to have that done tomorrow and mainly because of my nose leaking clear fluid which has become almost an all day leak. I don't know why this has gotten so much worse over the past few months. I've had the deviated septum for years. Activity seems to trigger it or sitting upright from lying down, leaning over, etc.

You can dose the protein level in the liquid (but there are some false positives if there is an infection), you can also dose Bèta 2 Transferrine that is more specific of CSF.
