Glad for this. I have bilateral hyperplasia of my adrenals, and take Eplerenone, another Ksparing diuretic that doesn’t have such an effect on sex hormone.

MD's I highly recommend a "CT" scan on the adrenal gland left and right with and without contrast patients sometimes have adrenal adenomas which is a benign tumor That releases one of the three corticosteroids like aldosterone and also potassium ...a routine checkup is also recommended if they're suffering from hypertension or uncontrollable high blood pressure before checking any of these boxes Good luck and long live the free unbiased medical enlightenment!!

It occurred to me that I have heard MANY times, (with regard to kidney donation), that it's very safe and the donor should have no side-effects. Now I wonder. Is one adrenal gland enough?

I Love that Question! Someone knows! I wanna know too! I have Addison's=0 adrenal cortex function=thank God for steroids or I'd have lost this body 24 years ago! I've now lived longer with it than I did without. Peace y'all, study hard and say the truth loud when you know it! Saves lives. XO
