Thank you! This video is quick and as well so informative. You did such a good job of describing everything. As well as the blood vessel diagram! I am studying for the teas, and take them this Friday. I always keep getting mixed up with does it make bp increase or decrease. This is the ONLY video that I can say shows it all in one and makes it simple to memorize! Thank you!

Aldosterone is released by the adrenal cortex and acts on the kidneys. I think you incorrectly stated this in your presentation
@yellowtevo5 жыл бұрын
I noticed that too, I am currently in A&P II and I was taught that aldosterone comes from the Adrenal Cortex.

Same with Cortisol. Comes from the zona fasciculata of the cortex. Not the medulla.

The truth.. In the beginning it was rough for me to follow through, the ADHD part of me was enjoying the coloring 😂 but I must admit in retrospect the speed was perfect because subconsciously as you were coloring I am paying close attention to everything that you're saying not realizing it. I am a huge fan of what you do. Thank you!

Hi! Just wanted to say I love your videos! I think that cortisol is released from the adrenal cortex, not the adrenal medulla. That's what I found at least in my TEAS book and the National Institute of Health. Is it interchangeable?
@chareka072 жыл бұрын
The adrenal cortex produces hormones that controls sex (androgens, estrogens), salt balance in the blood (aldosterone), and sugar balance (cortisol). The adrenal medulla produces hormones involved in the fight-or-flight response (catecholamines, or adrenaline type hormones such as epinephrine and norepinephrine).
@Bri-zt3ls4 ай бұрын
I came to the comments for this reason too, my textbook also says the adrenal cortex produces cortisol.

Yes. They help with understanding the science concepts only. I recommend Brandon Craft for math and professor Mc. Allestier (spelling may be off but just search in KZbin) for reading/english. Good luck!
