It is not forced to become an "old lady" its a decision that is talked about and if she chooses to decline then nothing comes of it. I was asked in my early 20s and declined the invatation. I don't listen, I talk back, and will under no circumstances be seen as a submissive female. I was respected of my decision and that's that. I don't know about all groups but that was my experience.
