Many thanks SuperAbbsta. I very much enjoy making them and sharing my experiences with others. The aquatic environment is a beautiful place so if my videos in any way encourage others to also explore it and take care of it then I've achieved my aim. It's winter here too actually and the water temperature gets down to about 12 degrees but as that's similar to the freshwater environments I often scuba dive in, I'm probably pretty well prepared for that so I get to enjoy it year round here. Of course there are other parts of the world where it gets considerably colder. For such places dry suit diving is the only way to go! Thanks again for your kind words:).

Ewens Ponds is indeed a stunning site. It's composed of a series of ponds connected with shallow channels which are also part of the video. The deepest pond is about 10 metres but what is breathtaking is the water clarity which is pretty much as far as you can see. I've also got videos of Piccaninnie Ponds and Kilsby's Sinkhole on this channel. All 3 are freshwater sites and are stunningly clear and are part of the Mount Gambier region in South Australia. Kilsby's gets down to about 63 meters maximum although I am yet to explore that part as it's a mixed gas dive and Piccaninnie Ponds has been explored to a staggering 110 metres beyond the Chasm! Both Ewens Ponds and Piccaninnie Ponds also appear in my freediving video titled 'Freshwater Freediving' too. They are all fairly cold but nothing that a good environmental suit can't deal with.

Nice one! You should check out mine which I filmed just on a little Aldi underwater camera. It did the job. Although I only snorkelled Ewens. What a magical, enchanted underwater world it is.
