To get more info what is the upper locking mechanism for or the side straps are for, please Lyndon's review video. The lock has upper cutouts because incase of a crash if the bottom mounting is damaged, one can just unscrew it and rotate and will have a new working lock again. The straps on the side are long to attach accessory bags.

Recommend you provide the empty weight of each bag as it will be when mounted to the Pannier Rack on the motorcycle....and also give the weight of comparable bags from other vendors with their necessary mounting plates included....you will see that the Enduristan Bags & mounting system combined is much lighter than the competition...especially Mosko Moto whose bags are heavier and who also need a heavy mounting plate system.

Isn't it $450 per bag? So $900 for a set of two? That's double the price of the Monsoon 3s.
