After taking forever to get this here, here is the finale of Endwalker! This game has been such an amazing journey and I cherish all the memories that I have made with the community. I largely play this game in solitude, only playing with other players when there is no other option. I progressed to the...elpis flower bed scene...alone and when i came out of the cutscene there were two strangers there to greet me, cheering enthusiastically. Warmed my heart and i will never forget their kindness. Great community!!!

Another youtuber who I watched til the end said the kindest, pragmatic thing I've heard some one say about Endwalker. "this has been such a great adventure for me, and this expansion is a love letter to it's players. I can only imagine how relieved people who have played since the beginning of FF14 felt." I love the fact you did the final battle as a Bard, you sang a song of Hope as you fought, and taught it to Meteion just like Hydaelin wanted. Also i love the fact Hydaelin has been preparing you to face Meteion since a realm reborn. Remember her motto? Hear, Feel, Think. "I wish to hear your words(Hear), share your feelings(Feel), know your thoughts(Think)"

A note to take in... The BGM for "The Final Day" starts out as a medley of the music of the expansion bossfights before it flips to the remix of The Makers Ruin :D And yeah... you were absolutely correct. That was not her song, that was OUR song. There is also a little beauty in Meteion at the end. She's no longer full of despair, black and white. But neither is she the the striking bright hues of blue. She has matured, her colours are a little darker, but they aren't gone. She can balance her emotions...

This game completely broke me. I started this game during beta, a bit before 1.0 release. I was in my early 20's, worry free, getting good money, enjoying time with my girlfriend at the time and my friends. I always enjoyed playing S-E games, especially Final Fantasy XI. I had to build an entire new pc just to enjoy Final Fantasy XIV, mine being a bit overdue. I didn't enjoy the first version of the game as much as I would, working a bit too much for my own good, so I never had the chance to reach the end-game of this era before the servers went down. Little did I know they had ARR in store for us not so long after, which compelled me to upgrade my computer once again, just to enjoy this new and revamped version of the game. Over 13 years later, now in my mid 30's, I'm still exploring the vast lands of Etheirys, fighting alongside friends I found along the way, becoming my second family. I've seen many things during those years, from being healthy and having a good life to being sick and poor. If it wasn't for Final Fantasy XIV, I would have completely lost hope as I am now disabled and in great pain almost 24/7. This game gave me the opportunity to live my life to the fullest, albeit being in a digital world. Living fantastic adventures, meeting new companions, fighting woes and discovering new lands, while learning about the past of this world. I saved the day more than once, shed tears, experienced departure and death from both the real and digital life. I will always cherish those moments spent playing my miqo'te bard, tackling every new challenges thrown at me and I really hope I'll be able to continue walking the land for many years to come. A huge thank you for Square-Enix for crafting this delicate yet exciting universe, see you all on the boat for our next destination. Forge Ahead!

Agreed. Like I get and almost agree with anyone who says Shadowbringers is better, because of pacing issues and some other random problems. But God, endwalker made me BALL. So much. It struck me in a way nothing else ever has and even reinforced my new life mantra. Even problematic things, like the death fakeouts, I just didn't have a problem with.

Different strokes for different folks. Some argue Endwalker is better for those emotional highs and years of lead up, others that the 2 are too different to directly compare, and yet more that Shadowbringers is better, but that Endwalker made it even better again.

But seeing your community band together to recreate Heroes past whom you walked alongside in previous expansions was beyond anything I could have imagined. Second comment, different topic... My belief is that Zenos is meant to be the mirror of the Player, not actually the Warrior of Light. Elidibus/Hades were our counterpart as the character. We fought for our world and future, they fought for their world and past. They were in the story our opposite. Zenos was meant to call towards the player. Zenos is the person who skips cutscenes because they are boring (never could he understand others, the tedium). He's the one who powerlevels right to the endgame and straight into Savage Raids and Ultimates (his singular, fleeting bliss). He is the asking us, born into this world through the character creator, bid a name and sent to seek out strife (quests), if it was worth it. Through him the developers asking us, the player, if the journey they gave us was worth it. Did we find it fulfilling? We've been asked that question three times now, and we were never able to actually answer the person who asked it of us... But was it?

I always love Zenos's question at the end before the final battle. Do I know the feeling he so fervently feels? Do I crave it too? One more fight, one more kill? ... Yes, of course I do. We *all* do as players of this game. Yes, what drew you to it was likely the reputation of the story's quality, or a preexisting fondness on your part for MMOs, Final Fantasy, or both, but what *kept* you playing? If the story was good, but the game was a slog, it would not be nearly as popular as it is. We all know the feeling of wanting to do one more quest, fight one more new boss, defeat a new dungeon, down a new raid, getting another level, gaining another skill, upgrading your arms and armor, and most of all, the thrill of a fight that truly captivates, like everyone's first reaction to SPACE on Thordan. To deny him here is to deny your very play of the game, especially if you have so much as a single alt job. That isn't needed to get through the story. You wanted to see and feel their buttons. You wanted to feel the rush of bringing them into a fight.

after seeing the newest expansions trailer, im extremely hopeful that we will get to meet emet selch, hythlodaeus, venat, and hermes, reborn into eitherys of the present day and become inseparable friends of ours. even if they lose their memories upon rebirth, just having them with us would bring so much joy to my weary heart. if i have to wait another ten years for it i will gladly, the wait was worth it for the hydaelyn zodiark saga, and i have no doubt at all that it will be just as amazing this time around. having a new beginning with ffxiv dawntrail is a perfect way to set the stage once again, and avoid the narrative trappings wow suffered from.

you know, I've seen this reacted to many times, and I only just now realize the absolute BDE Krile has to just go and send him our way almost immediately after we left. Granted, he was on his way there, but I can't imagine she wouldn't have had some choice words for the man as she was doing this.

The end of the game is already super heavy, I can't imagine how it must feel to walk by past iterations of yourself on your way to the end. I normally say Ultima Thule is best experienced completely alone, but that is a definite exception.

You know, I'm always left wondering how much Azem knows. The ending cutscene he does actually refer to Azem clearly, since if the wol is male, he says he and if female he says she. Thats the ultimate proof that he was talking about Azem imho.

Not gonna lie, I cheered during the crystal path walk when I finally found a streamer that RP walked it like I did. I burst into double tears as soon as the community made this walk even better.

My friends stopped me from launching to Ultimate Thule at 5AM. Like they BEGGED me to wait til the next day cause they know I wouldn’t stop. I waited, went through all the quests, and was like “I see what’s happening and I don’t like it” then the Endwalker Buff appeared and I just…left my keyboard, laid on my bed and stared into the ceiling without realizing I fell asleep from the emotional backlash and waiting for the people who wished to experience this again. When I woke up, my friends had joined me in the discord call while I was asleep. They booked it to Ultima Thule when I said I stopped at the beginning of the Endwalk from exhaustion and knowing they wanted to be there and walked with me though I couldn’t see them. When the final dungeon opened, they were there in front of it like “let’s finish it together.” I was in TATTERS trying not to bawl my eyes out. If I had to forget one game to experience it anew, it would be this game. Hands down. Just because of THIS part.
