Warren is a great player and would make a great pick for the 49ers. However, last year we chose a great weapon for Brock in Ricky Pearsall, who is turning out to being a great receiver. But John and Kyle can’t afford not to address the offensive and defensive lines, as well as a cornerback, a linebacker, and possibly a safety. If Warren is the pick, I’m sure I would be happy, but I would like to see them bolster the lines.

You'll have 6 more Rds to fill needs. Plus, adding a good blocking TE that's actually strong enough to play in line provides extra protection. Ricky had a couple of nice catches, but he also got tossed around like a rag doll. Aiyuk, Cmc, and Deebo are all questionable at this point. If you're running 2 TE sets with good blocking TE's you don't need the best o-line in the world. Not to mention Ben Bartch is very serviceable. Aren't you tired of wasting 1st rd picks on LineMan that are supposed to fill a need and don't live up? Remember Solomon Thomas, Mcglinchy, Kinlaw?

I think they do go with a bigtime player at 11 if they don't trade down..I say that to say I think they have more options with this years draft class than any other draft class where they had a first round pick.

Genekersten is correct. Warren would be a great pick, but the OL still needs to be addressed early. One high draft pick there and then possibly a free agent...then you have at least 4 decent lineman with a couple solid subs.

Here's the benefit of going for a TE with the 11 pick... Because half of the job of a TE is to BLOCK, this IS addressing the issues of the OL. I still say that the 49ers have to address OL - especially for the sake of "glass elbow" Purdy if they are going to invest in Purdy. But since getting a high quality blocker/receiver IS addressing the pass blocking part of the OL, then this qualifies... sort of. They still need to actually FIX RT, C, LG, and find a future replacement for Trent at LT. The ONLY "front 5" that is solid long term is RG with Puni. So go for it with a solid blocking/receiving dual threat TE. But they can't stop there. They need to nail it in FA or in later rounds of the draft for at least C and either RT or LG - and preferably all 3. LT can maybe wait one more year - but not too long because of how old Trent is.

Mason Graham is the #1 guy I want and Josh Simmons is the only tackle I want at 11. Banks is a waist bender who will be a guard sooner than later. Warren and a couple corners might be BPA at 11. There’s a lot of potential in rounds 2-4 for OT and offensive line in general so I wouldn’t worry about passing on a tackle at 11, like you said, we can’t afford to whiff on this pick. Draft BPA or trade up or down.

He was a QB in HS and for all the offensive line talk in here this dude is a great blocker, so why wouldn’t you want a great blocker to help out on the line that is also a CERTIFIABLE OFFENSIVE WEAPON! Cmon chat, be smarter than that. They found Puni in the 3rd. Warren is the dude to get. Bookended for Kittle, future replacement for Kittle too and this dude is going to make the Oline better. They can go 2TE sets and run the ball down other teams throat with CMC & Mason. No brainer.

I really think TE will be the pick. I did listen to the "varsity boy's" argument for this and Yes, I really like the player, but SF has not erased the bad karma for trading Buckner. A home run on a DT would do it. 4-3 Wide 9 is a feature, not a base. Yet they're hard headed which usually leads to a soft booty. 😅
