Personally I want super jump and double jump spells that only works when phantoms are in your world so that you can still reach areas normal only torrent can get to when in co-op/ for invaders to counter AFK spots. THAT would be a fun fix to the AFK problem.

Yeh, as others have replied, you now show as the host on invaders compasses, and you can have their name above their head permanently as an option I believe? I do think that crouching though, or using items to hide you like the veil thing, gets rid of these.

It’s a bug. It happens when the opponents hit connected on their screen even though you hit first…

Horizontal swings can be modified on the vertical too, based on camera. If you look up when doing a lateral swing with a huge sword for example, you'll miss if the mob is half your size, even point blank.

@@spadesofhearts7714 i know exactly what you mean. I used colossal weapons in my playthrough and switched to.... funky stuff for pvp after beating the game. I want to say ive seen this once on the claymore, but i think im wrong. To my knowledge only colossals do this. Ive even seen it in pvp against an enemy, we traded but only my hit connected and his sword went wonky. Could have to do with what zulie the witch discovered about jumping on torrent with certain melee weapons. Weapons held over the shoulder won't allow you to double jump from a fall without jumping first. I don't design games and have no clue why the weapon swings upwards at times, but its just another reason collosals aren't that great in ER.

The thing that makes this so much harder than it was in the dark souls 2 video waaaaay back in the day (video's called hiding in plain sight, forgot who the op was but someone else apparently uploaded it and it only has like 3k views, definitely check it out for sure). In dark souls 2, in the first main area forest of fallen giants, the soldier's there are basically player-sized. In this game almost (if not all) humanoid mobs are much, much taller than the player, so it's a lot more obvious in this game when you do these shenanigans than it was in previous games, not even counting the dot showing the hosts location (which doesn't go away until you get decently close so it's not hard to pinpoint which "mob" is fake). Either way it's amazing how many people fall for this even to this day. Beautiful content.

Oh I had something like this happen too me when I invaded at low lv in Limgrave. So I invaded and the host is not underneath the cliff or on the building, so far so good. He's in the direction of santa clause and then I see it. Or better said him. The fucking tree sentinel, following his patrol route but without horse. So I go over and lock on to see his name. Horsegone. And this madmen ignores me and just keeps going up and down the road. Second invader comes and soon 2 blues follow and I shit you not for the next 5 min we all just conga line followed him up and down that road. Funniest shit I have seen in a while.

It's because of this specific dagger, the miséricorde has 140 of critical damage while most weapons have 100 or 110, upgrade it to the max and you'll get this kind of damage doing crits
