Energetic Armament is a well-known manufacturer of high-quality suppressors based out of Massachusetts. The new ARX features a 5.56mm centerfire silencer for AR-platform eXtreme performance. At less than 8 ounces, the ARX represents the best-in-class lightweight for a hard use 5.56 dedicated silencer. This energetic suppressor also features a composite C-300 nickel-cobalt maraging steel baffles with laser-welded Inconel 625 leading edges. The hybrid composite baffle design of the ARX leverages the best engineering properties of both materials to create a baffle core that can stand up to full auto 5.56 use with no barrel length restriction. The nitrided C300 baffles can handle extreme pressure at thin, light cross-sections. The Inconel 625 leading edges provide hot gas erosion protection to the bore aperture. The ARX rifle suppressor is designed with a ported blast baffle and stepwise progressive bore to balance backpressure and sound suppression. As a result, this gun suppressor provides less gas to the shooter and less sound to the ear. The assembled weight of the ARX includes 7.9 oz or 224 grams with removable direct thread, 7.1 oz or 201 grams for ARX without mount installed (gun silencer only), and 8.02 oz or 232 grams for ARX with removable direct thread and accessory flash hider end cap. The length measures 5.8 inches (147mm) x 1.54 inches or (39mm) in diameter with removable direct thread. The maximum diameter of the Serial ID ring core diameter measures 1.5 inches or (38mm).
