Bee clearly say *a graduate Engineer (Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology) or equivalent with three years of work experience involving use of energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc.;* ... So if you are civil engineer and is in maintenance or planning yes you can apply.

As per the eligibility criteria, any btech graduate can apply for the exam with 3 yr experienced but in construction it should be in maintenance. Secondly there another option for civil engineers in green building audit. You can try for that also.

Sir as i can see you have 6 years of experience in this field.. so i hope you have heard about PAT (perform, achive and trade), so industries under PAT scheme, have to hire an energy manager or an energy auditor. Secondly, Your energy manager/ auditor certificate can aslo act as an achievement in PTC india, and you can do energy audits on their behalfs. Thirdly, in your near future, if you want, you can start your own energy audit firm, which is very good option. You can also work as an permanent energy auditor for a particular company.

The Certification fee for new candidates, which includes the exam fee, is Rs. 10,000/- for general candidates Rs. 5,000/- for SC and ST candidates as well as for Other Backward Classes having an annual income of less than Rs. 4.5 lakhs per annum. In case if anybody fail to clear any one of the 4 paper then he/she has just to pay 1500 per paper and not the entire certification fee.
