I recently bought the following 12V DC kettle from Amazon: "Travel Kettle, 750ml 12V Kettle Portable Electric Car Kettle, Stainless Steel Car Coffee Mug with Cigarette Lighter Charger, Kettle Pot Heated Water Cup, for Hot Water, Coffee, Tea (2)". It takes around 25 minutes to boil. Nice trigger pour lid.

Thanks for your helpful video. I am in the process right now of finding a kettle I can use with my 700 watt bluetti. Have watched many videos and become frustrated that so many don't mention how many watts the appliance uses so I appreciate your knowledge.

Using PowerOak AC200P (@ ~230V AC) 500W Kettle > 12m 23s to boil > 0.103 kWh consumed 830W Kettle > 7m 33s to boil > 0.102 kWh consumed Using 24V MPP Solar Inverter with 5kWh DIY Battery (@ ~230V AC) 3000W Kettle > 2m 30s to boil > 0.111 kWh consumed For details around the 300W flask kettle (can't hold 1L) this video might be useful > kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2mQdZd9br15ns0. @jim daly Welcome Jim and thanks for joining our growing community! I appreciate your generous feedback and support, thank you😊. This is a great question and one I've wrestled with for a long time (regular viewer question too). It is possible with a wind turbine charge controller, but that's the simple part. Much like the TV show, it's mostly to do with location, location, location. There are also planning conditions attached, but it can be done under permitted development providing the conditions are met. The type of wind turbines, cost and yield (depending on location) in a good percentage of cases don't add up. I'm sitting here at the moment, hearing the wind whistling around the house and thinking free power. The reality about installing something which can cost a significant amount and needing a reasonably high minimum wind speed to get it turning to generate low output now and again, is something that needs more thought for me. Does your location lend itself to decent/consistent windy conditions? All the best, Adrian

@jim daly No problem at all Jim😃. The coast can be a good spot for smaller turbines. There are advantages and disadvantages of both types, from what I understand the bigger the blade surface area the better. Cheers, Adrian
