What are the things you should consider when choosing a roof coating?

Polyurethane-based roof coatings are now used as coating applications over a variety of existing metal roofs. Polyurethane coatings provide the best rates of all coatings for impact resistance and for foot traffic. There are two types of polyurethane roof coatings: aromatic and aliphatic. These types of materials are typically used in combination of base coat and topcoat. The base coat material is durable but does not offer high UV resistance. The aliphatic coating is used as a top surface because it is UV stable, stays clean, and holds color longer than other coatings.
The amount of heat that your roof absorbs depends on the color of its coating.
A normal roof absorbs 90% of the heat coming from the sun. Dark-colored roof coatings absorb more heat compared to lighter-colored roofs. However, you can reduce the heat transfer by using a white roof coating that has the necessary properties to promote insulation and reflect sunlight.

We are not sure po kung anong based nang existing paint nyo, kaya we recommend to removed it before the application of Blocktite RRC to avoid chemical reaction or you can try muna on small areas kung walang magiging problema. If your new roof has an existing paint, you need to sand it lightly to give Blocktite RRC a mechanical grip on the surface. For unpainted roof, you need to apply Buildrite Epoxy Primer before applying Blocktite RRC.

Blocktite RRC is available in white color only. The amount of heat that your roof absorbs depends on the color of its coating. A normal roof absorbs 90% of the heat coming from the sun. Dark-colored roof coatings absorb more heat compared to lighter-colored roofs. However, you can reduce the heat transfer by using a white roof coating that has the necessary properties to promote insulation and reflect sunlight.

Hindi scientific yung testing. Dapat sabay-sabay silang apat na tine-test at yung mga thermometer reader kita mismo sa tabi habang sinasagawa yung test. Ulitin niyo yung testing with 4 halogen lamps and corresponding thermometers at sabay sabay niyong itest.
