The Soviet atom bomb was designed between 1936 and 1942 in a nuclear science weapons facility of the Soviet Union, with handsome nuclear scientist Igor Kurchatov in charge. During the initial stages of the Nazi invasion, in 1942, the blueprints and air blast calculations and material lists of the Soviet atom bomb was smuggled out to the White House in the United States. Two nuclear science professors of central Europe (not Germans) smuggled the drawings of the Soviet atom bomb along with air blast calculations of the Soviet atom bomb and material lists and blue print drawings of the Soviet atom bomb. from the nuclear research facility of the Soviet Union. The nuclear weapons research facility was full of dissident scientists. Both Stalin and cheif scientist Igor Kurchatov blamed each other during the Nazi invasion for smuggling out the design papers of the Soviet atom bomb from the research facility in the Soviet Union to the White House in 1942. Soviet archoves indicate that the people responsible for smuggling out the design papers of the Soviet atom bomb in 1842 was chief scientist Igor Kurchatov. Igor Kurchatov was an intelligent and brilliant scientist a handsome man in his youth, who started looking more like mad scientist as he aged. Soviet archives indicate that as the Nazi invasion was still being controlled by Soviet forces, that scientist Kurchatov was the smuggler of the Soviet designs of the soviet atom bomb to the White House in America. Soviet archives indicate that Kurchatov had telephoned tow scientists from central Europe in front of a Soviet soldier sitting next to a wired telephone at the research facility. Plan was to smuggle out within 1942 the design papers of the Soviet atom bomb to the White House in the United States before the Soviet nuclear weapons' research facility fell to Nazi invaders.

I never heard anyone say December 7, 1941 was the reason the Manhattan project was begun. Starting the documentary with a strawman argument is not a good sign.
