some things to note: _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ charizard can do back-throw to back air between 30 and 40% depending on characters and rage and can kill (if they don't di out, and if they do, they're offstage and can be killed with f-air or gimped) If charizard can land the first hit of a rar n-air with the sweet spot, (easier if the opponent is on a ps platform) can lead to f-air or b-air. his n-air can also make people slip from platforms (I don't know if it's still techable but it's still good) Charizard's flare blitz is really good for tech situations and can easily cover all of the options if the timing is right and that you read the tech or non-tech. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Squirtle can wait on walls to f-air offstage for edge-guarding people that are stalling in the air, taking to long or just to f-air a bad recovery. Squirtle can link f-airs offstage to up-b, the up-b is not true, ut if the opponent's di isn't perfect, it catches jump and airdodge, but not a fast aerial to fast fall sometimes, and it can't kill unless you commit to the up-b and if the opponent is bellow 40% before the last hit of up-b, it won't kill ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Ivysaur's n-air can't lead to anything if the last hit doesn't connect: also the opponent has either frame advantage or is equal, so just try down tilt to be faster or shield if they're mashing. Ivysaur can spam b-air, if spaced, people can't challenge it out of shield unless they have a move similar to cloud's b-air in terms of speed and range depending on the way they're facing. If Ivysaur is on a platform, d-throw to n-air away from and then towards your opponent to up-air is true at low percent, and at decently high percent, you can up-b, but ... you should know Ivysaur's up-b sweet spot size plus the distance ivy travels before using the move, it helps a lot. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ also, if b-air is stale for ivysaur, it's stale for every pokemons (they share the same stale move list) I hope I helped someone with these tips, just notable stuff that weren't in the video, but this is one of the best pkmn trainer guides I've seen yet on this platform and seeing this episode made me want to see more guides form ya they are awesome! :D

For any new viewers please keep in mind this made very early on in the meta before hero was even announced, this was the time before they nerfed ivysaur and buffed Squirtle and zard. Ivy dair is not as strong as it used to be but its still an amazing gimping tool. Tether canceling is an important technique when learing PT as it allows for some insane recovery mixups. Zards back throw to RAR back air is a true combo from 0% to 40% this is my personal go-to combo. Flamethrower negates most weak projectiles and using it max spaced is amazing at ledge trapping as it covers many options at once Squirtles Water gun has a lot of usages, it can be used off of stage, cuck over recoveries, force an approach in neutral and help Squirtle's disadvantage. Withdraw is a powerful mixup doing great knockback and having super armour for entire duration Squirtle is in his shell. If they chose to shield the move I prefer to switch or use up b as normally the opponent will be mashing a safe out of shield option to counter the side b however waterfall has a lot of priority and will catch them off guard and will condition the opponent to shield and wait after the side b... which you can punish with a grab! All in all this guide has some decent tips for the character if your starting off with the character, but keep in mind it was made early into the meta when Ivy far outshined the two other mons so they weren't explored or developed compared to ivy, who was all the buzz. When your done with this video i recommend watching Pokemon trainer bread and butters that actually work Frenzy lights ten pokemon trainer tips There is a lot i could cover on PT, maybe i should make my own guide lol EDIt this video is very shit

Charizard up throw into fair at 0 connects almost every single time very consistently. I’d like to add that Charizard can also at low %s get neutral air into grab into down throw up air or down throw fair maybe even a back throw bair. It isn’t much but just something to keep in mind if you’re at 150 percents and are too scared to switch into Squirtle.

Leffen gave up on Pokémon trainer too quickly. He just wants a character that has obvious advantages like Fox does in Melee.
@iframes75 жыл бұрын
If the man wants to win, can you really blame him?
@ThatOneScienceGuy5 жыл бұрын
Artificial_ 1van Of course he does. But instead of finding a character and going deep into their their mechanics and formulating a play style, he has a “tier” mentality he carries from Melee and just wants a good character who will do most of the work. Ultimate doesn’t really work this way.
@tekiii15 жыл бұрын
ScienceGuy to be fair to your point. Yea ult isn’t totally geared around tier lists, it’s a pretty balanced game. Sure on some maps or against certain people some characters have advantages, but skill will usually win the match.
@ChrisPepper19895 жыл бұрын
@@tekiii1 Also Ultimate is in a very different stage then Melee was when leffen came into it, the meta had sort of already established Fox as a good character in melee when leffen came into it. I'm sure he could have *made* pt top tier material with his ability in meta development. I wouldn't be surprised if someone found some serious ice climbers level super meta with PT, its such a complex character. But i'm not pro so /shrug and I guess in reality PT was very different to his old main, perhaps he wanted something similar

Vincent H. And this is how the plutocrats in the one percent who really run the show get the masses to vote against their own self interest. They do it by planting ideological bullshit in your head by telling you that it’s unamerican to do anything for the collective. They tell you it’s “socialist” to have healthcare. They tell you it’s “socialist” to have UBI. I can’t believe the hoards of sheep who bleat this kind of nonsense. “I’m not going to vote for policies or programs that actually benefit me because of my shallow inclinations to see it as socialism. So I’m going to vote against my own interest and vote for the interests of the people in power and then I’ll pat myself on the back and call myself a patriotic American.” Meanwhile the plutocrats smile ear to ear every time the dumb masses do this. Propaganda works apparently.

What is a jump cancel and what are the inputs
@thelastgogeta5 жыл бұрын
Not sure if you still need to know but jump cancels are when you cancel an animation into a jump. The input is just the jump input but you can do this while shielding for a universal option and during the charging of many projectile attacks that can be stored like Squirtle's Water Gun.
