ive placed an order for a variety between C and B grade Enfields that that have available; 1 cutdown C, 1 full length C, 1 No4 C, 1 NO 5 C, 1 cutdown B, 1 full length B, and 1 No4 C+. So I'm waiting for them to come in and see if my luck pans out and get decent rifles. I've got two rifles in the collection that came from them via 3rd party, a Iraqi NO 1 MKIII and a M95 Mannlicher in 8x50R. The bore on the Enfield was essentially a sewer pipe the the metal looked like they tossed on handguards and changed the front stock as there was wear indicating it was a shortened/cutdown version that got restocked. The M95 overall looked pretty good and the initial inspection had a decent bore but after cleaning it i realized the bore was only decent halfway down the barrel then it tapered out into nothing. I wanna say the M95 would've fallen under the B grade, but the metal showed that it was missing the handguard and the stock itself was replaced as it had a different serial number from what was stamped on the barrel and receiver. After I get these in i might go about putting in an order of Carcanos with the 1891s B and C grade as with Vetterlis.

Looks like you scored a reasonable SMLE MkIII, only missing the rear volley sight and safety and part of the front volley sight. The windage adjustable rear sight is particularly appealing for target shooting if the barrel is good and the bedding is not ruined.

It's cleaned up pretty nicely, I've ordered the volley sight parts and will hopefully have that soon.

The most important thing of these RTI Milsurp guns is the rifling. Yours looks like there is rifling. Check it by doing the muzzle bullet test and see if you have any copper showing. That's the quickest way to check. I don't know how much you spent, but all said, you do have something to work with. And that bolt doesn't look as bad as you might think.

hey not bad! i think they're truly getting to the bottom of the barrel at this point. Seems like what they have left is enfields with no mags and no bolts, or, the entire ensemble. I ordered a jungle carbine last week for 2oo, we'll see how it turns out. Ordered a c-grade hakim last year and it took a lot of restore, but its 100% now

You didnt mention it but you also have an early windage adjustable rear sight. Solid early SMLE.

I'm probably gonna get 3 B grade Enfields without the bolt from RTI. Knowing RTI, the average B grade will have a bad bore and a cracked stock, but I think if I got 3 of them, I could make one good rifle.

I got a mk3 sporterized and was looking for the wood and parts for it and this seems suitable for restoration or should i bubba it into jungle carbine furniture with the long barrel? Then get this action rechambered and barreled and all that magic for 308 or 7.62x54r? I figure 7.62x54r because its still rimmed like 303 and its kinda cheap surplus ammo

I’d be happy with that .

Bolt should be salvageable. Just some fiddly work.

Magazine cut off is pretty cool. That bolt is ugly though 😂.

I'm probably going to just buy another bolt for it.

Wow man your rifle is pretty nice aside from the bolt.

I'm amazed people are okay with these wall hangers. They're so beat, you couldn't even sell them for parts.
