I'm a little confused, on crutchfield it's saying I'd need some sort of module for steering wheel controls, but I'm looking at the ax-6000, can't I just manually program like you are @20:00? Or did you install a module I missed that allows the manual programming? And by any chance have you attempted installing a rear camera on this vehicle? Trying to judge how easy that would be.

The TT does steering wheel controls through Can Bus Data. You need the module to translate Can Bus to analog. Then you can manually program. Our harness has the steering wheel controls built into our harness along with the other can bus data signals. The controls supported are Voice dial/Pickup call/Hang up call/ Volume up/Volume down/ song up/song down. The small box also reads the cars CAN BUS signal and provides switched 12 (turns the radio on and off), illumination (dims the radio when you turn on your lights) Parking brake (tells the radio your parking brake is up to unlock security features), Reverse (tells the radio you are in reverse so that the new radio knows to switch to the reverse screen) and VSS(Vehicle speed sense tells the radio how fast you are going to improve accuracy especially when you lose GPS signal). No that is not possible.

I’ve got a B7 RS4 and I’m wondering does this unit show up navigation routes and song titles/radio stations on the DIS like the RNSE unit?

One some radios is does but it costs an extra $200 for that feature and usually it does not show Carplay/Android Auto Navigation. Email us if you are interested. We took this part off the site because most people just complained about the price and asked for discounts.

@@Enfig thanks for the reply. I’m from the UK though. It was just really if you knew as it seems like you were the only one on KZbin with a real demo of the unit in an Audi. So it is possible then

@@sjbrowning7 In the UK you guys have different radios that are NOT compatible with the part that shows the cluster info. I am not aware of any companies that make this feature possible in the UK.

We have been installing carplay for over a year now with zero issues. I just didn't love the module. We have a new module that we will be selling soon but because of virus overseas the factory is closed. If you email us I can put you on the waiting list.

Hi, Bought the Enfig PNP-PIO0236 for my Pioneer AVIC -8600NEX install on my Audi TT, following this video. Everything works except that the radio does not turn on when I place the key or leave the key in the ignition which should simulate the car in Accessory mode. What did I miss?

We have that issue on A3's for some reason but I have never heard of it on a TT. Are you in the US?

There are a few that have wireless carplay. Check their site. They usually change every year and if you are in a different country sometimes there are different models.

I followed these exact instructions for hooking things up, but the only difference was I removed the stock navigation touch screen head unit. Got everything hooked up and used the pioner single din converter. Everything fit perfectly BUT I cannot get any sound at all. I have unconnected and reconnected each piece multiple times, especially the blue amp turn on wire. No sound from the radio, bluetooth or aux. Head unit is functioning fine othernwise. I got my bluetooth paired and song selection shows on the screen. The steering wheel controls don't seem to be working either even with the converter piece plugged in for that. Any reason there might be no sound and the steering wheel controls are not functioning? Thank you Update: I just realized the hi lo box did not come with the main cord. Only the small box is a part of the unit. This must be why the Bose amp is not receiving any signals. I will call you tomorrow. Thanks

Update: hi lo box fell down behind dash and thankfully they saw the wire in my photo to let me know its there, just keep looking. Found it.

Hey thanks for this video. I bought the same Sony head unit for my TT V6 3.2L 2009. The local professional installer tried & failed to successfully install the Sony. He said that the Bose system in the TT with the Amp/Control unit in the rear is incompatible and can't communicate. He was thinking I'd have to strip out the whole audio system and start from scratch with the Sony head unit and build a new system from there, new wiring too.

Our hilo box makes everything sound better. The amp may have a digital turn on that has to be turned off. Since you have mentioned product from my competition I will have to delete the comment. But to answer your question our hilo box does make everything sound a whole lot better and make the install much more simple than other boxes that require programming. And you can call us up for support and we can troubleshoot and walk you through support.
