SWEET, the Pumper/ Tender combo probably helps with your ISO rating! Good luck with the upcoming winter months!!

What’s a snap tank?

Portable dump tank. Similar to the classic Fol-Da-Tank, except whereas the Fol-Da-Tank is a one-piece unit--the frame is permanently sewn into the fabric--the Snap Tank is more like a camping tent in that the fabric "tank" and metal frame are separate parts that the crew assembles on scene. The Fol-Da-Tank has the advantage of quicker deployment (a couple firefighters pull it off the side of the rig and pull on opposite corners until it pops into a square or rectangle) but requires more space for storage--two sides of the tank collapse, while the perpendicular sides are rigid, so a 3000g/11,350l model measures 13ft x 13ft x 29in/4m x 4m x 74cm (both units of measure rough and rounded) when open and 13ft x 7in x 29in/4m x 18cm x 74cm when packed--whether simply slapped on the side of a tender or an internal compartment sized to fit. A disassembled, 3000g/11,350l SnapTank, meanwhile, measures 79 x 16 x 14in/200 x 41 x 35cm (I've never personally worked with a SnapTank, so I don't have deployed dimensions, and pulled the disassembled numbers from NationalFirefighter.com's catalog), so you're sacrificing deployment time for added space for other gear on the rig. Looks like that's what works for Central Mat-Su, and they designed that specific compartment to fit their SOP.
