The shortened wheelbase for a 2000g tender is appealing but what's the cost difference building this on a Commander custom rather than the usual commercial (Freighliner/International/etc.)?

They could've used Freightliner Econic waste collection chassis that has the cabine in front of front axle and engine. And it would even have up to two additional seats. Austrian Rosenbauer made a lot of engines/aerials on this chassis (from Mercedes) in Europe.

Flush mounting the Q2B is interesting but I thought most of the sound emanates from the 14 stator ports. Seems this may reduce its sound output but what do I know? lol Any comments about this? Thanks and congrats on acquiring this beautiful apparatus!

Rural department with man power that goes to the scene rather than the station, Back up engine but, mostly used as a Tanker are two thoughts that come to mind.
